My Dad is so hard to buy for, but this was the perfect gift.

Likes learning new things, very picky about tv
Pros

    never before seen footage, HD at its finest, stunning visuals, learn interesting facts about earth

This was the perfect gift for someone who loves watching the Discovery Channel and learning about the earth and animals.   Everyone I know that has seen it has truly enjoyed it and been fascinated by it.  It was on Oprah's favorite things 2007 so you know it's good.  It's narrarated by Sigourney Weaver and the visuals are truly amazing.  A total viewing experience!
