THe Discover card platinum is an outstanding card for many reasons. For all daily purchases you will receive 1% back on all of your purchases, but what is great about this card is that quarterly, Discover changes a certain group to 5% off. The best is during the summer where you receive 5% on all of your gas purchases. During the winter months, you receive 5% on all grocery store purchases. They have many retail associations and you can do one of a few things with your money. You can get a check sent to you, you can put the money directly to pay off the card or you can choose one of their assosiates and get more free money. For instance, if you have $20 saved up for a gift card, some of their online partners offer double gift cards so instead of a $20 gift card, you get $40. SOme are less, but at the worst you will get a $25 gift card for your $20. The card is outstanding and Discover also offers great customer protection.Last edited on Dec 29, 2008
