Please know that when credit cards offer you "up to 1% cashback", this does not mean 1% cashback. In calling Discovercard, you have to spend different levels before the 1% can kick in. For example, for each calendar year you have the card, you get .025% cashback until you have charged $3000. Then, you might get .050% until you have charged $6000. This keeps going up until whatever it is for 1%, it could be as high as $12,000. PLUS, this resets to 0 EACH calendar year! I had been a user of their card for over 10 years (I was only 16 and naive for that long) until I realized this.
