Discover - Discover Platinum Review

I have had my Discover Platinum card for about a year, and I was very sceptical of their cash back claims.  I have several Visa and Master Card cards and they all have cash back programs as well, but in actuality, you have to spend the cash back money at their on-line stores, and no where else.  But with Discover Platinum, you have control of how the refund is given.  As a payment on your account, a check sent to you, there's even a Discover Card on-line store where you can spend the refund, and get some really great deals, it's entirely up to you.  So if I had my choice, I'd choose the Discover Platinum card above Visa or Master Card.  The only negative I have found, if you can call it a negative, is for me the credit limit with Discover Platinum is lower than that which is typical with Visa Platinum or Master Card Platinum.  But in today's banking world, a more reasonable credit limit might be a good thing after all, as I haven't read about Discover reducing credit limits or raising interest rates without reason like many of the large banks have done.  So get a Discover Card, you won't regret it.
