Most HelpfulI have been a Discover Card credit card holder since 1999, when I first signed up as a college student. I do not every carry any balances over from one month to the next, and always pay my bill on time, in full. I would recommend the Discover Cards for people who do not want to use a credit card...

Most HelpfulI was very disappointed with Discover card when our card was stolen. We called to cancel the card and the guy on the other line said he could not do it. My husband hung up. We received our bill and saw credits on there that we did not make. We called them up and asked for their help with the matter....
review »I used the Discover card for years and loved it. They offer a points system that allows you to be rewarded for every dollar you spend. You are able to cash in your points for girft cards, cash, or money towards your credit card bill. They also do not charge an annual fee and they offer a variety of programs that include but are not limited to credit monitoring, fraud insurance, annual credit reports, and spending charts. Discover also offers online statements as well as online payments and a variety of options on their website. I was a huge fan of Discover until I came into financial issues. I...
review »I have had a Discover Card account for the past several years and have never found it necessary to dispute one of my charges.
We had a death in the family recently and I was looking for some information about obtaining a death certificate. I went to the googled the county clerk and state and saw an ad for "Public Records Pro" and searched for my relatives name. I was told there were two available records which matched my parameters. The site indicated there was a fee of $2.99 which I thought was reasonable. Unfortunately I failed to read all of the fine print and found that the charge was...
review »My Discover Card is with me always and the first one I select for purchases. I receive either 1% cash back or 5% cash back on every purchase I make. The 5 per cent cash back opportunities change quarterly. You can double your rewards by selecting a shopping opportunity with many businesses. You can apply your Reward credit to your Discover Card account.
I use my Discover Card even for small purchases to earn the 1% cash back. Every dollar spent ears a penny credit or a nickle credit if the 5 per cent cash back offer for that quarter applies. At least once a year the 5 per cent cash...
review »Discover card will pay you cash back for any amount you put on your card each month. They place your cashback in an account that you can allow to grow, or cash out each month in twenty dollar increments. You may also use your cash back bonus to purchase gift cards, or even donate to charity. They also give you the opportunity to sign up for five percent additional cash back opportunities each quarter. The cash back opportunities for this quarter are gas, hotels, and theme parks. The fourth quarter will be grocery stores, restaurants, and movies. As you can see, the cash back is on things that...
review »Discover Card: Sorry, I just wrote the whole review in the tags section. This card was true to its advertising. I used it to pay off a high interest credit card, and was even forgiven a late payment. I immediately qualified for 8000 credit, and saved about 1300 in interest by transferring my balance. The card also donated proceeds to breast cancer research which is a cause close to my heart and in my immediate family. It was so easy to use and the service was so good, that I applied for two additional cards for my college students. They were able to set up an account on line, and...
review »I've had other credit cards in the past, but since I got a Discover card, it's the only card I use. They have the best customer service I've ever experienced. I really appreciate that they phone me when a charge doesn't go through to see if I'm aware of it and let me know how to faciliate the purchase if I still want it. Any unusual activity such as a series of small online purchases results in a call to make sure my card is still in my possession. They even notify me prior to the bill generating if I'm approaching my limit and an over-the-limit fee is about to be assessed. They provide...
review »Discover Card is abosolutely the best credit card company to work with in the credit card industry. The cash bank is alright but not the only reason to join with such a repubatable company. They call you whenever they feel something is wrong which is great. Since I am now living in a new city if transactions occur in the city I lived in in the past they call, if transactions occur in a new city which I do not live they call to let me know and ensure that these are truly my transactions. Because of the current economic situation, many companies are shutting down credit limits and I have...
review »My Discover Card has been an excellent source for building/repairing my credit. I have never had any problems with customer support. They have been well versed in every question or problem that I have ever had. It is used most places that I have frequented. The cash back bonus is a great incentive. Who does not spend money? Who does not want to get paid for spending money? Let's be realistic about this; If you pay your bill on time and pay all or most of it off monthly you are making money. Who would not want that? This card has helped me to repair some of the damage that my previous marriage,...
review »This card is great for anyone. My parents have the same card and they love it. I am a cost-conscious college student on a tight budget and I love it the same. The online banking system is wonderful, matched only by the outstanding customer service. They reply to e-mails within minutes and send important updates and reports through e-mail. I never have to use the paper bill because the online payments are super easy to use!
The cashback rewards are also a huge perk along with the low interest rate, I have never had a credit card that I have been so consistently happy with. They are flexible, easy-going,...
review »I think discover card and all other credit card companys are not fair. The reason why is because if you have no credit or very little credit than you will not get approved for one of their cards. Take me for an example.. I have no credit. I have a pretty good job that pays pretty good. I have hardly any bills but they will not approve me for a credit card. I am trying to build credit but how can I if no one will approve me. Discover card sent me an email saying sorry but they can not approve me at this time. For me try again at a later time. Meaning once I build up some credit. I will not reapply...
review »I've had the "basic" Discover Card for nearly 3 years now, and all of the sudden (even though I have a credit score of 745) they raised my interest rate from 2.9% to 14.9%. I called them and asked them why they had raised the rate and they didn't have an explanation for me. I promptly cancelled my card. They were not able to give a reason for the sudden and dramatic increase in my interest rate, and they weren't willing to change it - despite my perfect record of paying on time and more than the minimum, plus my high credit score.
If you are looking at applying for a Discover card, buyer beware....
review »I love my Discover card. I have had it for almost 20 years. I had one dispute, which they quickly solved. I have earned tons of great gift cards over the years, which had made great gifts. I have also gotten cash back bonus checks. I have had no hassles over the years, and pay off my balance each month. They occasionally send pretty nice coupons in their statements.
