Discover - Card Cashback Bonus — 

When we first got the Dicvover card customer service was wonderful.  The interest rate was good .  They were always willing to help.  I missed on payment in 5 years.  So I got on an automatic deduction from my checking account.  For a year that went well.  Then without notice my deduction date changed by four days.   So that went on for awhile till i noticed that one month they didnt take the normal amount out.  I called them , and they said every year you have to call up and retart it.  When I signed up for this the gentlemen said that if I got atomatic deductions I would never have to worry about late fees again.  So because I didnt restart by calling them before the year ended I had to have 28% interest for one month till they could straighten it out.  Well we decided to pay the whole thing off.  I called them to say we had been havin financial difficuilties could they settle for 75% which other credit cards offered us.  They said no there is nothing they could do. So i told them that I would like to close my account.  He was extremely rude  .   He kept questioning my motives as to why I was closing my account.  Like its any of thier buisness..   I asked him to send me a letter of verification stating my account is closed.  The man hung up on me.  Well we waited and waited for the letter.  After 2 weeks I called again regarding this letter,  the man stated that It will be mailed.  After 1 more week I called again.  He said he would fax the letter and put one on my email  still another 3 days till we recieved anything.   You know they say they are there to help families with credit issues.  Well I am here to tell you that is not true.
