Discount Tires (DT) has a service where if you buy your tires from them the rotation of those tires is free (until the tires last, of course). I am sure the reason they do that is that they want to sell customers another set of tires and based on my experience some stores/sales people push that pretty hard.
My frustration was that when I went to a DT store there was always a long wait. I also got the feeling that since they were not going to make money off me (I was there for a free tire rotation) I got put at the back of the line. At one store I went to I also felt as if the sales/service person was doing me a favor for changing my tires.
I seem to have found a solution. A couple of months ago, I made a reservation online before I went. (DT has a nice, easy to follow website.) When I got to the store, since I had a reservation I got priority in the service - they took my car in right away and I was done in 15 to 20 minutes. Even more, the sales person was not pushy at all - he commented on the condition of my tires and left it at that. (Of course, I did not need new tires anyway.)
I am a happy customer, especially of this Discount Tire store at 1117 E Ogden Ave
Naperville, IL 60563.
