Disciplines of the Beautiful Woman by Anne Ortlund is an ever-relevant book to today's women. It spans all ages and nationalities. I like the fact that it mentions the Scriptures and that is her basis for everything.
The chapters go through describing different things for a woman to be organized and beautiful on the inside and out. Inside goals would include her personality and her spirit. Outside goals would be to keep an organized closet, touch those around her and to worship God. This is done with the help of paring down her closet and she tells you how to do that. It's done with the use of a notebook or day-planner. She goes into great detail of how she's broken up the different sections of the notebook and how she uses it. It's done with writing goals and she describes the different types of goals she's set.
The only con is that it might be hard to read for someone who is not a Christian. There is a lot about goals and part of her life of discipling other christian women. I find, however, that there are many parts that are relevant even for non-christian women. I think we all want to live a good life that simple where we can accomplish a lot and look good doing it.
