Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe airs Tuesdays at 9pm on The Discovery Channel. Rowe is the perfect host and he "interns" for a day in some of the worst jobs on the planet. He'll spend a day as a roadkill collector, cleaning farm equipment, at a monkey habitat in South Africa - nothing is off limits.
After watching this show, you will really appreciate your own job and the people who do these "dirty jobs" to make your life easier. The jobs featured on this show are filthy, hard and include long hours.
Rowe works side by side with the men and women featured on this series - and brings some recognition...

I always try to catch Dirty Jobs on the Discovery channel on TV - even the re-runs! And when they have an all-day marathon, I'm in heaven!
The premise of Dirty Jobs is to highlight the not-so-pleasant jobs that make life easier for the rest of us. Doesn't sound all that interesting... but host Mike Rowe makes it entertaining. (I confess, I have a slight crush on him.)
Mike travels the country exploring the jobs that need to be done. And a lot of those jobs seem to involve poo: baby poo, penguin poo, horse poo. Or sewers (filled with poo). Or caves (filled with bat guano - another name for poo)....

Mike Rowe and his crew will go anywhere at anytime to tackle some of the worlds dirtiest jobs around. Although there are people that do these jobs for a living, Mike Rowe is not afraid to tackle any of them and do his best. I have seen some situations that are very familiar... review »

This show is great, but sometimes I have to turn the channel. The ewww factor can get the better of me. It is so funny how Mike gets into some real messes and does get dirty. Mike makes this show fun to watch. Makes me very happy with the career choice I have made and I'm not doing some of the stuff shown on Dirty Jobs.

Every think you have the worst job in the world? Well every week Mike Rowe does those jobs that you just cringe at while watching Dirty Jobs on the Discovery channel. Man there is no way I will do some of those jobs.They are pretty entertaining to watch though. Never in a millions would you ever think that there is some of these jobs out there. The farm with all the monkeys. Holly crap. That one Patty was nuts, let me tell you. I don't remember the name of the lady who ran that farm off the top of my head, but boy was she bossy. There is no way I would go down to clean out the swerers. The rats...

Dirty Jobs hosted by Mike Rowe is one of the best television shows that I have seen in a long time. Not only does this show entertain viewers, it usually educates viewers on various subjects as well.
One of the things that is most appealing about this show is Mike Rowe's sense of humor and dedication to his work. Not many television hosts would willingly put themselves in a position where they know that they will probably make a fool of themselves. To me, this is part of what makes the show so entertaining.
