Impressed with Mike Rowe's Versitility, a reality TV watcher

Some people may not know but Mike Rowe does the Commentary on Ice Road Truckers and Deadliest Catch as well as doing many Ford commercials he just has a voice that sooth's you and he articulates very well. His natural ability of getting a point across and his many funny moments on Dirty Jobs just fits like a glove.

Dirty Jobs

Mike Rowe and his crew will go anywhere at anytime to tackle some of the worlds dirtiest jobs around. Although there are people that do these jobs for a living, Mike Rowe is not afraid to tackle any of them and do his best. I have seen some situations that are very familiar to me, well at least when I was much younger.

One episode found him climbing in a very confined tank to clean it out and at over 6'3" tall it is not an easy chore. I am 6' 2" and I used to do that for a living and being young and not much experience I did it to live. Mike Rowe doesn't need to do it but he does to show everyone what some jobs are all about.

I have seen him splattered with animal feces, spit at by llama's and get into some of the smelliest situations known to man. Yet he always has a smile on his face and a chuckle in his manner. He makes light of all the bad crap (literally and physically) that he gets into. I have seen him sick and still he pushes on and gets the job done.

How many of you out there would crawl under a rat infested house, a slimy tank or stick your arm up a cows butt just for a television show? I bet there are a few but not many that would put themselves in Mike Rowe's place. Sure he gets paid well but come on he does stuff that garners minimum wages for those people that do them for a living. He puts himself in situations where diseases are very real and sometimes fatal.

Don't believe me then Google for human waste and see what you can get by coming in contact with it. In one episode he was in a sewage treatment plant wading in human excrement to get to a pump that had to be replaced. Yet he still cracked the jokes and got the job done, despite having to evacuate on several occasions because the Methane level got dangerously high.

Bottom Line

My hats off to Mike Rowe for showing America what some people have to go through to put food on the dinner table. He makes jokes but he gets the job done and that makes him an incredible person. His voice is one that demands attention but in a good way and he gets his point across very well. I love watching his shows and even though I don't like Fords (hearing the boos from the Ford lovers out there....lol) I do enjoy his commercials. If you have yet to watch Mike Rowe on Dirty Jobs give it a try and see for yourself how he turns a nasty situation into a pretty entertaining hour!
