The funny sarcastic remarks, ironic turn of events (i.e. Mike saying that filling a small bag with rice was something he could do and bam!  the bag and rice fall in mid sentence), and frankly disgusting (and sometimes quite unbelievable) jobs make for entertaining television.  Mike Rowe is a great host.  You could almost imagine the horrible smell and just how gross the job was just by looking at him.  The jobs they feature make you grateful for the "clean" job you have and appreciate the people who actually work these "dirty" jobs.
