Dirty Dancing Reviews

Dirty Dancing is my favorite film of all time. It came out when I was a teenager, and although watching the movie in the theater did not impress me(probably because it is harder to understand for the hearing-impaired), I was wowed by the video on the VCR. I watched it constantly. I made scrapbooks and even visited where the movie was filmed, Lake Lure, North Carolina and Virginia. Fast forward to the twenty-first century, and I have the Dirty Dancing Ultimate DVD edition. I just got a DVD player in December 2006 so the DVD concept is new to me. Do you remember the first time you saw this movie?  I do!  I had just given birth to my son and we got him down for the night, and hubby took me off for a few hours just the two of us!  I remembering cheering right along with the rest of the audience when Baby jumped off that stage and into the arms of Johnny!  WOW! — The DVD is a must have for those who are dance fans, Patrick Swayze Fans, Jennifer Gray lovers, anyone who loves chick flicks, those that just like a movie with a happy ending.  I love the tribute to Jerry Orbach.  I guess I'd forgotten that… read full review »

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this movie! There is something about it, its one of those movies that you can watch over and over again. I wish I could memorize the dance moves to the last scene "the time of my life!" I love that part! If I could find a man to dance with me like that - watch out! There's this scene where Jennifer Grey is crawling on the floor to Patrick Swayze lip singing "Lover Boy" that is INCREDIBLE! Dirty Dancing is one of my all time faves.  When I first saw the movie I couldn't help but watch it repeatedly.  There is so much to the story.  You laugh, you cry.  You can't help but enjoy the story.  Takes you back to older times when life was about your family and not so busy.  The dancing in the movie is highly entertaining, I only wish I could dance to half of their ability!!  The love story is great.  I love Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Gray, they were a great combo in this film!  I would recommend this to anyone who likes drama!! … read full review »
