A lot of work, but works well

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

This vacuum works fairly well and picks up a lot as it has various adjustments for carpeting types, floors.  The only problem I have with it is that if you have pets, you have to clean out the filter pretty much every time you vacuum  The pet hair clogs the filter almost immediately and it has to be continuously emptied room to room.  i like the fact that it works great when it has full suction capability, but when it is clogged it takes forever to clean it.  The bagless vacuum is great for everyday cleaning, but for tough jobs I think it may have met its match.  There is however a plus to this vacuum that it does also have the attachments that allow for cleaning fur...

Dirt Devil Vision is anything but

Overall
Rated 2 out of 5

I own this vacuum and came across other reviews while here as I am looking to replace it with something actually reliable in the future. I picked this up at a Walmart a few years back and while at least it has lasted this long, the vacuum is utterly worthless when it comes to picking up pet hair and cat litter off any surface. Also the vacuum only sucks from the right 1/3 of the bottom span, so if you are not lined up correctly on the right side of the edge of what you are vacuuming, you might as well be using a toy vacuum for all the dirt you will get up.

The upholstery attachment IS indeed a joke as mentioned earlier, if you try to use it to remove pet hair from the couch, the pressure ca...

Its not anything special but it does the job

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

I have had the DIrt Devil Vision for about 7 years now. In those seven years I've only had to change the belt once. It does a decent job of picking up the dirt in your carpet. Its not very high powered so if you are sucking up more then just normal dirty carpet reminents it will get clogged. I have a three year old and frequently have to vaccum up spills. It gets clogged in the part that connects the hose to the bagless tank. Simple fix to just detach the hose and use needle nose plyers to get everything out, but its tedious. Also i wouldve liked for the hose to be longer. If you barely stretch it the vaccum falls over. When cleaning out the bin you have to remove it take it to the trash and...

Not that great

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

This is not the worst vacuum cleaner you can buy.  It has survived many years of heavy use and its easy to clean (it uses a HEPA filter with a bagless dust deposit thingy).  It could use a little bit more sucking power, especially when it comes to using the hose.  On bare floors it's pretty lacking, because it doesn't come with a attachable floor nozzle!  I have to use the brush attachment and bend over the whole time.  If I don't use the hose, the brushes under the vacuum will just push all the dirt and bugs underneath it and straight into your legs.  The attachable "power brush" meant to be used for upholstery is a joke, as the brush is rotated purely by the incoming air, meaning that it'll stop as soon as you put any pressure on it.

But, it can get the job done.  I like the HEPA filter because it seems to pick up any little piece of dust, and it's easy as heck to empty.  Just don't expect any more past that.

The Dirt Devil Vision is the loudest vacuum I have ever owned.

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

The Dirt Devil Vision Bagless canister vacuum has 12 AMPs of power. It also has a wide 15 inch nozzle or brush. The suction on this vacuum is average. I use it at least once a day as I have 2 small children at home and live in the desert.. However it is very, very loud. The canister is fairly easy to empty, but it seems to be messy and needs to be done outside over a large trash can. The Turbo tool works well on the furniture. The cord is of average lenghth and is awkard to wind back up. So I figure that I got my moneys worth since itwas $89.99 at Walmart, but I wouldn"t purchase a second one.

Dirt Devil Vision Wide Glide Vacuum is great and gets all spots.

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I have a Dirt Devil Vision Wide Glide and I love it. It makes for quick clean up and gets all the spots. It is an easy clean out vacuum and the filters are very simple to clean and replace. There are not a lot of access parts so it is very simple. I vacuum my house on a daily basis and it just keeps going! It has been put up against concrete tracings that have been tracked in the house to kids and the wonderful food and outdoor messes that follow them.

We have a couple of cats and I never have a problem getting the hair up. Children also have mild allergies and I have noticed that since using this vacuum, the problems have become minimal. The attachments are great for walls and ceilings and blinds. We even have one for the office of the family business.

I would recommend this model to anyone who has a high traffic home and children and/or pets. I simply enjoy the fact that it is simple to use and to clean.

I like it but I would probably love it if I would buy a filter

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

Well! I always here Dyson this and Dyson that! I cannot afford to drop 400 on a Dyson. I picked up the Dirt Devil Vision at a carpet store closeout sale! It is good but it would work even better if I would buy a new filter. I use it all over the house upstairs and down, out on the car. It is light and sucks up pretty well. I have a short haired Dalmatian so the hair is everywhere. I vacuum about 5-10 times a week and have had great results. I am amazed how many times I have to dump the canister. I do not use all the attachments but I use the long handle to dust around the tops of curtains and suck up spider webs. I like the length of the cord but it gets in the way. I ran it over and had to tape the spot with electrical tape because it chewed off the rubber cord. The plastic handle does pop off which annoys me alot!! I would change the handle the side the plug is on and the $$ of the filter to make this the perfect vacuum.

Needs improvement.

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

Easy to use, works great, attachments are great, but the emtying process of the bagless canister could be much improved upon. You have to remove the canister, take it outside, take off the top, reach into the nastiness to pull out the filter, dump the canister, then beat the heck out of the filter until it is semi-clean.

You gotta know where everything from the floor went???

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

When I vacuum the trash from the floor seems to be gone but the dirt container is totally empty, and I just purchased a new HEPA Filter. I cannot seem to find out what the problem is exactly or what to do about it myself!!!!

I would recommend the Dirt Devil vacuum to everyone I know.

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I'am a long time owner of the Dirt Devil vacuum. The power is the greatest in any vacuum I've ever owned. The suction picks up everything in its path, and the accessory tools are a must. I also use my vacuum out in the garage, which I must say, is awesome. Emptying the dirt is a breeze. You can take it apart and wash the parts and the extras. I love my Dirt Devil and would never switch to anything else.

Dirt Devil Vision Wide Glide Vacuum is great, except for filter.

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

The Dirt Devil Vision Wide Glide vacuum is a great vacuum, enough so that I would probably buy it again. It handles well, and cleans well. The only problem I can find is that the filters are fairly expensive, are hard to clean and do not last the year they suggest. Also, you need a well ventilated spot in which to empty the canister and clean the filter, as dust goes everywhere.

very dependable vacumm cleaner

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

My Dirt Devil Vision has been very dependable. I have had it for around 5 or 6 yrs. now and it has never given me a problem. It is still working great. My favorite feature is that it is bagless. One less thing I have to worry about buying. The bags in my last upright were starting to cost a fortune.

The one thing I don't like is that it is pretty bulky. It would be really nice if it would have an attachable wand with beater bar to go under beds and smaller areas. Maybe they will add that feature in the future, but for now, that is the only drawback there is to this vacumm.
