This vacuum seems ok to begin with. Probably for the first year it performs pretty well. It is a bagless vacuum which is nice, however, it is difficult to maintain. With just normal use my vacuum kept burning up the brush belt. It would burn one up about every fifth time I used it. This was very frustrating and also expensive. It was also difficult and time consuming to change the belt that often. Eventually my brush broke on one end from all the constant belt changes. Emptying the canister isn't too difficult but is a little time consuming. This vacuum is also pretty heavy and bulky. If you have a small home or live in a small space this is not the vacuum for you! It is an attractive vacuum But that's about the best part of it. For the price this vacuum is a poor value in my opinion. Not enough to justify spending the money for it. About a year of service is all you should expect out of this vacuum. Buyer beware.

I purchased this Dirt Devil almost 5 years ago and have been using it regularly ever since. It's a great vacuum that is easy to store (not too big) and easy to carry (not too heavy). It picks up most everything off the carpet. We have had to replace the belts on it and order a few new filters as well. As long as you replace those 2 things when they are worn out they will be fine. Just don't try to vacuum anything other than carpet. I tried using it on our vinyl floor and crumbs and dirt came out of the vacuum cleaner and made the floor even dirtier. This vacuum is loud but not overly annoying. Love the length of the power cord and detachable hose. Also love how easy it is to dumb out the dirt. No nasty bags to worry about!

I like how well of suction it has, and i like the turbo tool for pet friendliness use, but it is so heavy, it really hurts my back to operate this vacuum because it is so heavy, i mean it is heavy, heavy. So i do wish i had bought a different one, but i bought this at my local Fred's store that is selling out and closing, so i got like 30 % off and i thought i would try it, i needed one, so i got it, but i wish i had got a different one. But i have a lot of bad back problems, so it wasn't a good choice for me personally but it is a good cleaning product. Feb 2012, still going strong with no trouble, picks up very well, but still heavy. I've owned this product for almost 3 years, and have been disappointed with it not long after I bought it. The suction power decreased significantly over only a year's time. We have had to replace 2 parts on it in less than 2 years. The hose that you hook the attachments on to often falls off for no reason , so everything that is vaccumed up just blows back out into the room instead of being collected in the canister. Both my husband and I notice that if the canister gets more than 1/3 full, it doesn't pick up things very well, causing us to have to stop and empty it more than I think we should have to. It won't pick up much of anything unless it is setting perfectly on top of the carpet, and things like small pieces of string almost never get picked up. We bought this to replace a 15 year old vacuum, and I think that one did a better job than this one, and am upset I gave it away.

I have had this vacuum for several years and am very happy with it. I like not having to worry about buying bags. And it cleans very well for me. I only have tile and wood floors, which the vacuum and the attachments do a great job on. I would advise anybody to buy this vacuum.

I bought the Dirt Devil Vision Turbo after reading a review that claimed this vacuum "could suck start a Harley". With a one year old and a large, black lab, messes are inevitable! I was replacing our vacuum once a year due to loss of suction. I have had the Dirt Devil Vision Turbo since February of 2009, and am delighted to say that it still works as well as it did when I took it out of the box. The attachments are handy, too. I use the "Power Claw" to vacuum the couch and the stairs. This attachment could work better (i.e. better suction), but it gets the job done. The Dirt Devil Vision Turbo is a bit heavy, both to push and carry. I use the vacuum to clean several area rugs, the stairs, the couch, and an 8 x 10 carpeted room. Just this will completely fill the canister. If I was to vacuum our entire house, I think I would have to empty the canister halfway through. Though it is not hard, it is essential to empty the canister and the filter clean. The filters are also pricey.

The second time I used my machine, the belt broke. I called the manufacture, and the girl told me that this was COMMON??? I have five cats, and I need something that can stand the test..

The vacuum may be a bit heavy to carry up stairs, but the results of the suction power is excellent, although you may have to empty the canister several times while you are vacuming it is because it really picks of the dust and other dirt that maybe lying in your carpets that may fill the canister fast because of its suction power. I was a bit skeptical when I first bought  it because it is a inexpensive vacuum but after my first use of the vacuum I was sold. Because of the bagless canister I like being able to see everyting that the vacuum is picking up and how much. I would really recommend this vacuum

I am using dirt devil ultra vision turbo vacuum cleaner. It really works good. I have heard that some vacuum cleaners wont clean the hairs which has fallen on the carpet. But if you have a problem like that with your vacuum cleaner, you can go for this model. It really do its job well.
