Dirt Devil Purpose for pets M140000 Review

With 2 Golden Retrievers, I need a vacuum that really does the job.  This machine does NOT.  My mom was a loyal Royal fan and I had an old hand-held Dirt Devil that was an amazing workhorse.  So I thought the brand was still worthy of my patronage. 

 I can't tell you how disappointed I am in this vacuum.  It picks up beautifully, yes.  I feel the cleaning power is probably excellent. 

However, after only 7-8 uses, the beater brush seized up and started smoking.  I called Warranty Service and they told me (great news) that the beater brush was one of several parts not covered.  But they were happy to sell me another one for $10.  We installed the new beater brush and used the vacuum exactly twice.  Guess what.  The brush has seized up again.  I'm going to try and get my money refunded.  I am NOT a happy Dirt Devil user :-(
