We have only had Directv for 5 months. Yesterday they shut off our service. They have lied to us and cheated us the whole time. We had to jump through hoops to get our $50 referral credit for my mom referring us. The guy who finally put it through chose to give us a bunch of referral credits and now Directv is calling us thieves because their employee was shady. My mom got the same extra referrals and called to let them know what was happening and they told her not to worry and just enjoy it. Yesterday they shut off my service and I called to find out what happened and the people at the main # told me they couldn't help and I had to call some other #. The people at the other # which is Signal Integrity told us that we were being shut off because we received credits that were not ours. I asked why they didn't call us or contact us in any way and try to straighten this out and the lady told me that Directv doesn't want to do business with people that take money that's not theirs. I told her about my mom calling and she just said that maybe if I had called it would had been different. But they cut off my mom's service too! Because their employee decided to go wild giving referral credits now I have to find different tv service.
If they really wanted to keep their customers they would try to work something out. I told her I was totally willing to pay what I owed and that didn't matter at all. They were rude the whole time I was talking to them and basically called us criminals. Even if they would restore our service I would NEVER do business with them again. We had many other problems besides this one.
