Less service interruption than we had with our old cable company or with our old dish provider. Very competitive price, lower by far than local cable and a little lower than DishNetwork. Good selection of channel lineups and local channels included (had to pay separately through DishNetwork and also buy second dish for them). DVR receiver can be a little finicky at times but no major issues. We have three units, one is a DVR in living room and two standard receivers in the bedrooms. One of the units occasionally "losses" authorization??? This usually results in an hour long phone call while they figure out what has happened with it. I have not had to wait overly long to speak to service tech by phone. You can buy channels not included in your package via a la carte. I don't believe they advertise this anywhere on their site, but I inquired and received the extra channels we wanted at a reasonable price, as we didn't want to buy their premium, most expensive package to get the couple extra channels. Overall, we are very satisfied with the service. We had known other people with DirectTV who had a lot of complaints when the service first came out. They must have resolved many of the issues since that time. I recommended the service to my parents when they got disgusted after the latest cable bill increase. They couldn't be happier with it.
