DIRECTV  — 

I have had to go rounds with directtv regarding their start-up fees and packages.  If you send them an e-mail you will get "generic" responses the first three or so times and get passed up through the ranks only if you are very persistent.  In a dispute regarding a $22 charge that I paid twice it took me at least a month to get it resolved.  Finally , they credited my account for the charge but when I next signed on the website to review and change services, I felt confused and cheated into signing up for a more expensive package.  When I tried to switch back to my original package after selecting something that didn't apply to me, it couldn't be done on the web and was told I had to wait 24 hours before I could switch back.  Commercials for their service are very misleading and be very careful to read all the fine print so you know what you are getting at which price!  Once installed it's hard to get them to help with issues.  Their prices are higher and they add charges for everything - however - if you contact them when your contract term is up - they are able to negotiate and sometimes eliminate a lot of "add-on" charges.  I feel they would do a better service if they start at some of their negotiable prices from the beginning.  I'm not saying they are "the worst available" but they aren't the best either!!!!!!!!!
