We received the setup of DirecTv from a subcontractor. It was quick and easy and we were under the impression that we had our own dish. He was not supposed to give us the service to begin with because there was not a good signal from our position in the apartment complex we were living in. We had horrible reception because of this and we were sharing a satellite with a neighbor who was not happy about it. We had problems with the neighbor because we were linked into his satellite, we had problems with DirecTv not wanting to let us out of our contract for the lack of intelligence of the subcontractor, and everytime our neighbor would lose signal after being zapped (due to illegal reception), so would we. We did eventually receive great customer service from them and the problem was resolved. We may use the service in the future but only through DirecTv installers.
