Christian Dior eyeshadows are nicely pigmented, have a refined texture and apply so smoothly, they really are quality eyeshadows. But would I recommend this particular palette to a friend...well that depends on what their looking for. A couple of shades are from the earth, I don't mean earthy but earth shades. Where I live there is red clay and the bottom left is similar to me of red clay. The bottom right is a medium dirt in color. The Upper left is a nice light apricot color, the upper right a sand color. Now all of those colors are almost flat with very little sheen to them...nothing like Dior's Earth Reflections Palette where it's all shimmer. The middle eyeshadow is a golden medium brown color and is the only one with a little more shimmer. I'm a gal who loves nudes and can pull off some browns , I'm fair and leaning warm, but I don't reach for this palette much as I have to find the time to experiment with this one to make it work.

**I just love this Dior 5-color eye shadow. The color palette goed with everything and looks good on all eye colors. The five colors provide versitility for diferent looks from daytime to evening. A little pricey but worth it. Dior makeup is top notch. This is a must have item.**
