I have seen many different types of credit cards out there, and I truly believe that DCU Visa Gold is one of the best. While not the lowest interest-charging card around, it is definitely very competitive. It has a generous 25-day grace period, charges no annual fee and does not require any minimum balances. While it is not a fixed rate card, its variable rate stays on the low end of things. It also allows a generous point collection with no forfeiture, and I got a great JVC 580W Stereo DVD boombox player for FREE with the points I collected from using the card. You have to be a member of the Digital Federal Credit Union in order to be able to get this card, and the rules are not very lax, but if you can get in, it is definitely worth it. Membership is only $5 to open the account, and you need to keep $5 in your Primary Savings Account at all times to maintain the membership, but there are no other charges beyond that. Highly recommended!
