I had a problem when our PC died and we decided to take over an old one the children had left behind when they went to college, The only problem with that PC was that it didn't have a SD reader port and that meant that my photos would have to be downloaded in a way I was unfamilier with so I purchased one of these to prevent me from having to learn a newer way doing things and I have to tell you, this saved my life. No problems downloading my photos to the PC for mailing, printing or just looking at. I love this thing. Sandy
