Samsung - S860 Digital Camera
Where do i start? This camera has brought me more misery than anything else in the one year that I have owned it. I first got it senior year of high school to take to grad bash and that very same day, only a couple of days after the purchase, it started freszing and the screen would not move. I literally had to take the batteries out and put them back in to get the camera to turn off so I could turn it back on again so it could start working once again. I still do't know why I did not return it right away. I guess since I needed it to continue taking pictures as the end of my high school career...

This is my second Kodak easy share camera, I do not know why I did not learn from the first time. I strongly suggest to anyone that is looking for a camera to NOT by Kodak easy share. Turned my camera off one day, and have not been able to turn it back on, I have tried everything (short of throwing it against the wall) to get it to turn back on. So, I will never again by a Kodak, I have heard good reviews about Canon, so that is going to be what I try next.
Canon - PowerShot A1000IS Digital Camera
This camera is fantastic. It is very easy to use and has many great features. We took it on vacation with us this year at Niagara Falls and the pictures were crystal clear. The camera has a zoom which is brings the scenery or person so much closer with still providing a very clear picture. There is a great feature, too, to take short videos. This has been great at school programs or sleepovers where the kids are doing funny shows. I have been very pleased with this camera and would buy it again or recommend it to anyone.
Aiptek - DZO V58 Digital Camera
This is a pretty decent camera with a built in mp3 player and video camera along with an 8MP still camera. Just got it and it works pretty good for me. I bought it to shoot pictures of Eagle days in January when the 50 or so eagles nest in our area along the Upper Mississippi River are easily seen from above and at the Lock and Dam 13. I cannot wait.
Sony - Cybershot H2 Digital Camera
I love this camera. Definately worth the $280 price tag. It is so hard to find a good digital camera these days. My cyber-shot is awsome. I have had this camera for quite a while now and not one problem ever with it. The camera is equipped with steady shot which is great cause my pictures tend to be blurry cause I can't hold still long enough to get a good shot. But that is not a problem any more. Also the face detection and red eye reduction features are life savers. It takes all the hassel of having to manually edit all your photos. The 3.0" LCD wide screen display is very cool. It makes reviewing...

I knew I wanted a digital camera that was easy to use, had tons of features and was priced decently. i think i got all that in the canon powershot a570 is. i did all my research on amazon, this one had tons of reviews and most said good things. it was priced about a hundred and fifty bucks. it came really basic kit, book installation guide camera batteries. well it takes double a's, which is good and bad. when i use the lithium batteries or other high end ones, they last for a while, but your standard double a's don't last. my favorite feature is the large clear screen. even my mother can see...

This little Canon isn't the best digital camera on the market but for the price it does pretty good. I'e used cheap $100 Kodaks with good luck and I've used really expensive ones. The Canon A520 is somewhere in the middle, I think. We have it set on a high resolution and the pictures are awesome. The up and down is that they are very large in size. Good because they print better but bad because they take up a lot of space. I usually have to make them smaller to email them.
Another really good thing is that we don't have to use rechargeable batteries, which I am not a fan of. This...

I love the fact that this camera is all-weather. We take perfect shots outdoors even in the winter snow. My 3 year old granddaughter uses this camera with ease. It's fully chargeable which makes carrying extra batteries in my purse a thing of the past.
Canon PowerShot A630 Digital Camera
I bought this at age 10 as a first serious camera.
Now I'm 13 and have a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi. (See my review here.)
The A630 served me very well by getting me hooked on photography.
I chose this camera because it, like all the Canons, is very easy to use and well-designed. Also because it, when I bought it at least, was a pretty powerful camera, for a compact.
Pros:
8 MP is pretty good, even for today. It's certainly adequate for full-page prints.
4x Optical zoom is very good for a compact these days.
The Vari-Angle viewfinder is great and very useful.
This has an optical viewfinder, which...

I have been using the Canon EOS 5d for a while and am very happy with it's quality. With the interchangeably of the lens, you can go as simple or extravagantly as you like. It shoots in JPeg or Raw formats, so you have the ability to print as large a print as you like. Add a tri pod and you can turn off the flash and use the dramatic existing light. It has pre set settings for portrait, speed, landscape, and macro shots. You can also do a total manual adjustment shot with no problem! It uses the CMOS technology for a much better quality camera.
All and all, it is a great camera!
Panasonic - Lumix DMC-FZ8
The Panasonic Lumix FZ8 is an overall great purchase. I bought this camera after my pocket digital was stolen and, more than 10,000 photos later (see some of my samples below), I'm still extremely happy with it. The pictures are very clear, the zoom is excellent and the stabilizer works great. The zoom, I should add, is extremely helpful if you get less-than-front row seats at a concert... 12x optical and up to 48x digital gets you pretty close.
The camera's "macro-zoom" is a little confusing at first but yields good results when you get the hang of it. The camera's aperture and shutter setting...

The Panasonic Lumix FZ-18 digital camera is an excellent package for intermediate amateur photograpers, who want more than what is offerred by a point-and-shoot, yet aren't sure they want or need the multitude of choices, complex environment and higher expense of the SLRs. The zoom lens can take the picture from 35mm to 18X enlargement smoothly to facilitate framing a distant shot, while the constant autofocus allows the photographer to quickly zoom and shoot. You need to keep the subject at the center of the photo, though, or the camera may focus on an unhintended object. You can immediately...

My husband purchased the Nikon Coolpix L20 for me as an early Christmas gift. This camera replaced my old Kodak Easy Share and proved to be the best digital camera I have owned so far. It takes great pictures and I love its zoom capabilities. My husband was able to find the camera for a great cost (reduced to just $89) and for that price it was a steal. The camera has a 10 megapixel resolution and until I received this camera I didn't really know what that meant but it makes a big difference when compared to my lower resolution Kodak. It has motion detection which really comes in handy...

I have owned the Olympus FE-170 for about 3 years now, and I love this camera. It takes very clear photos with very little effort on the photographer's part. The Olympus FE-170 has multiple settings available for taking pictures in auditoriums, taking up close photos, minimizing red-eye, action shots, etc. You can even shoot very short videos with this camera! The camera offers 6 megapixels, which is more than enough for the everyday person taking pics of family events, etc. It has a compact style, but a very large screen for taking pics and photo viewing. The menus are easy to navigate and understand....
