What is it?
Differin is a topical gel that is applied to the face for those who suffer from severe acne breakouts. It can not be purchased over the counter. It must be prescribed by a Doctor, usually a Dermatologist. It can be very expensive if you don't have insurance.  Our receipt said it was $207.00.  Thankfully our insurance covers it and we only paid a $15.00 copay for Differin.

You shouldn't expose yourself to prolonged periods of sunlight while using Differin as it makes your skin more sensitive to burning.

For years I've been fighting acne.  I've had it since I was a teen and although I've been able to control it somewhat with ProActiv and other topical treatments, it always flares up and I look awful and feel awful about myself.  I recently went to my dermatologist who put me on very low dose oral antibiotics to control the problem and they have helped a great deal.  She also put me on two topical treatments to help control the acne as well.
