Only way I eat Bananas!

5

I will be honest, I am not fond of bananas! I reluctantly decided to try Diana's Banana Babies-I figured since they were coated in chocolate that they might worth a try. They looked so good on the box that I bought them! They are so good! I was shocked. The banana halves are coated generously with milk or dark chocolate. They are tangy but sweet. The two make a great combination! I recently tried the new variety with almonds and it was good too. I really enjoy these and they help me add fruit to my diet. They are only 130 calories a piece too-can't beat that!

I happened across these in my grocery store circular about a week or two ago, and decided to add them to my shopping trip. I'm so glad I did. I don't eat fresh fruit very often, so I figured these would be good for me, since I am a chocoholic. I selected the dark chocolate variety, and they were very tasty. My husband tried them and was only moderately impressed, and I think my six-year-old son felt the same way, though he ended up actually eating two. The package describes them as 'Five all-natural fresh-frozen real banana halves dipped in dairy-free dark chocolate'. It also says zero trans-fat, though that's not something I care about. The box even has Weight Watchers point value on it (3). I can't remember how much I paid for them, but does it even matter when I'm the one responsible for the grocery shopping? This may just end up being my own secret dessert, as I am the big chocolate-eater in the house, and this way I can do it in a more healthy way. Thank you, Diana's Bananas for this GREAT product. I will be getting more!

I was buying ice cream for my son at the local super k  and I came across something I haven't seen anywhere else.....frozen chocolate covered bananas on a stick! I had a choice between milk chocolate and dark chocolate covered, I chose the milk chocolate ones. I've dipped fruit in chocolate before and love it but the time and mess it takes, I don't like. I got in the car and was thinking I had to hurry home because of my sons ice cream and my 'banana popsicles' and then thought about it, they won't melt! and that's a plus for me, they would only thaw out and still be edible! At 130 calories for half of a banana and chocolate, I'm happy. Serves me my one fruit serving and mono fats for the day (although the nutrition facts don't have the mono fats listed, it has chocolate, so they're there!) I love these things! I really don't care for dark chocolate but am tempted to go buy some of these just to try them.
