Dexter Review

I have watched the two season of Dexter, which are on DVD. I enjoyed the story lines and character development. I would have liked to watch them air on the network, but I do not currently subscribe to Showtime or have Cabel television. Since this is the case, I have had to wait for their release on DVD.

I have found this to be a good medium for watching many television series, that I came late to, or did not have the time or ability to watch. with the DVD's you can view the entire series in a few days, or stretch the viewing out at your discretion.

Dexter is cunningly played by Michael C. Hall of HBO's Six Feet Under. The drama uses voice over, and live action to put you inside the mind of the title charachter. We, the audience seem him like no one else does. He lives a double life. Dexter, like other crime dramas, often leaves the viewer wanting more after every episode. This another great reason to watch the series on DVD. 

I recomend watching them in order. The first season introduces the cast and characters and sets up the code, by which Dexter lives. He is a blood expert, that works for the Miami Police Department/Vigilante Serial Killer. 

The second season develops the characters & relationships surrounding Dexter and he is faced with exposure, it is very entertaining to watch Dexter try to stay a step ahead.

The stakes are high for Dexter in the first season and even highier in the second as the body count grows higher. 

Dexter is a great adventure, and the best show I have seen from Showtime.
