Last year I subscribed to Showtime and immediately found my self hooked into watching each and every episode-including last years reruns-of "Dexter". It's an intriguing look into the mind and the life of a tormented serial killer, played superbly by Michael C. Hall. You may remember Michael Hall from "Six Feet Under" where he played the part owner of an funeral home who took his undertaking quite seriously. He was gay, quirky, and a little bit strange in "six Feet Under", and, he is just as quirky and strange in "Dexter" but decidely heterosexual this time around. You follow him thru life as a forensics expert for the "Metro Police'', while his true dark side is as a serial killer. He's not just your run of the mill serial killer, but one with a certain "code" which was instilled in him by his Father who also trained him to be a socalled "Angel of Justice". The cast-including the ghost of his dead father, his sister, his girlfriend, and his fellows cops, is delightfully offbeat and completely unaware of his true calling.Watch him week after week, making moral decisions and trying to find the real "Dexter" as opposed to what his Father wanted him to be.He will delight and charm you, making you wonder how in the world you could root for a serial killer.
