If you didn't know by now I have a new V Star Classic and I want it to look the best I can. I have gotten Sparkle Crazy with my new ride and in the process have acquired many new products. Of course in order to keep it looking good I need quality cloth's to wipe it down, polish and of course dry it after washing. Here is where a Lint Free Cloth comes in and thus the reason for this review.

Detailer's Choice Streak Free Spotless Dryer

I picked this up in the auto section right next to all the cleaning/polishing products on a recent trip to the store. It says it is Clear Coat Safe, Lint Free and will not leave Spots. Anyone knows you can use the best polish/wax and soaps out there but if it leaves streaks it isn't going to look like it should.

This cloth is 3 sq. ft. and looks just like a Chamois Cloth which is great for making your ride look its very best. Well I live on a dirt road so after a week my bike was getting dusty and in need of a good bath. So I broke out my Turtle Wax Car Wash, pulled my bike up on my front sidewalk and gave Lil' Blue a nice bubble bath. When I had rinsed her off it was time to dry her so she wouldn't catch a cold.

I got out my new Detailer's Choice Spot Free Dryer and started drying Lil' Blue off. Well she didn't seem very happy at all because this supposed Streak Free Cloth was not working worth a crap! Not only was it leaving streaks it was leaving water on Lil' Blue, I was not very happy and in fact was rather annoyed! Okay so maybe there was a film left on during production on this cloth.....So I set the hose on mist and aimed it on Lil' Blue and took the thing inside.

I used some mild detergent and hand washed the cloth, rinsed it well and went back outside. Making sure it was wrung out good I then turned the hose off and proceeded to give it another shot. Well I was getting the same results as before, it was simply pushing the water around. It was not absorbing very much at all and in my mind useless as a dirty diaper.

I went and got a few of my Micro-Fiber Towels and dried off Lil' Blue then waxed her and put every thing away. I was not a happy camper and feel like I wasted my money on this sorry excuse for a drying cloth.

It feels very slick and more like a finished leather product than something you would use to dry a vehicle. I will use it but not on my bike, it seems more suited for washing things than drying them. Perhaps I can use it to wipe down the walls of my pool instead.

Bottom Line

This companies idea of a drying cloth needs to be reevaluated and come up with a usable drying cloth that actually works as they claim. In the future I will just use my Micro-Fiber Towels that I know work way better than this thing. Okay so I should have used my towels in the first place but I wanted to use what I was told was a "Better" product but as I found out I was right and they were wrong. If you want a drying cloth then steer clear of this Detailer's Choice and either buy a Genuine Chamois or use something else!

I agree with you there, I mean if I had a leather jacket such as a suede I could get the same results using it.....A streaked mess!!! ;)

I wonder how this product even made it past research and development. Actually, I wonder that about a lot of products. LOL

Yes, I found this helpful and I've got to add that you have to love any review that includes the words "not working worth a crap" -- another great review and it sounds like you're having a lot of fun with Li'l Blue.
