Desperate Housewives - The Complete First Season Reviews

To the PointI'm sure I'm not the only one who has never watched Desperate Housewives. I may have caught it once for 10 minutes but that's it. My son-in-law is so thoughtful (and my daughter). They sent me three first seasons of shows I've never seen. I play them on my computer especially at night when I can't sleep or during weekends when the television line up isn't so great. Before I fell in love with Desperate Housewives, I never thought I would watch it.  Lucky for me I had one night where there wasn't anything on television, so I tuned in and was instantly hooked.  The premise of the show is four main lady characters who each have their own skeletons in the closet and you first meet them at the death of one of their friends. So I have caught a few episodes here and there on any given sunday evening, but I never really got into it. You know, husbands and all. Recently the video store started incorparating seasons of shows in their inventory and I just thought I would check it out. Turns out it is quite the addictive show. The narraration is perfect and the people are relatable even to us lower income families. Not only was I sucked in by all the drama, but my husband couldn't leave the couch! I think Desperate Housewives is one of the funniest shows to hit TV in a long time. It always has new and surprising elements each week. I like the way it mixes humor with drama so that you get a good mix of emotions on every show.  I can hardly wait for new episodes to appear to see what is happening next. I really look forward to the show each week. If I'm going to be gone, I record the show and watch later so I won't get behind.
