This diaper cream was bought every so often when a diaper rash need extra care through the years. The reason that it wasn't bought more was the price. I find it to be expensive compared to other types and brands out there. I find that this does work well when a rash is worse than normal. I do like that it is thick. It stays on much longer than other creams out there. I will say that I have found others that work close to the same for less money, so I probably would stick with those unless there was a coupon or sale. I would give this a good rating though because it does do the job it should and stays on well. It's a good diaper rash cream to have in your diaper bag! Performance This diaper cream is nice and thick, stays on bottoms and helps heal rashes.

Let me just start by saying that I have 3 children so I have a lot of diaper rash cream experience. By far Destin worked better than all of the other creams. When my babies were on antibiotics for sickness, the medicines would make their stomachs very upset. Their diapers were very bad and caused terrible diaper rash. The skin was raised and very red and tender. I applied Destin and it helped so much. I could tell that when I immediately applied it the babies would flinch like it burned a little bit but as soon as it was on they seemed relieved. I would always apply a very thick coat, they looked painted by the time I got done, but it always worked to help it feel better and clear up. The smell is nice as well; it has a hint of mint. Of all the diaper rash creams I tried, this one was the best by far. The price isn't too high either and you can get small or large tubes of it. Very good cream for diaper rash! Performance It helps relieve the baby and clears up the rash.

We've diapered four babies over the years and we are no stranger to diaper rash. I generally like to use something more natural, which Desitin is not, but our youngest son had horrible diaper rash and we couldn't get rid of it so we tried Desitin. Desitin worked for us. What I like about Desitin is that it's thick and covers the bum well, thus protects it well in a diaper when it's wet even. The down side of Desitin besides it not being a natural solution is that it's smells like medicine. The bum, the hands and anything else it comes in contact with. It's not a repulsive smell, but definitely strong and medicine smelling. The other great success with Desitin we had is helping with eczema, our son had horrible eczema and it was amazing in relieving his pain and itching for awhile. It didn't take it away, as it was dietary related but it helped give him relief, similar to how it helps a diaper rash. If you're wanting something that's a sure fire way of helping diaper rash Desitin did the trick for us.

We have used Desitin on our son since he was born- from mild redness on his backside when he was younger and having many more bowel movements, to using it as a protective barrier now with just about every diaper change. It's so important to know that his sensitive skin is well taken care of. It can be used for newborns, toddlers, babies in cloth diapers or regular diapers, and I imagine that even babies with skin sensitivities still do well with it. It has such a nice thick texture to it that you know you are putting a barrier between your baby's skin and any moisture that may come in contact with it. Performance Desitin definitely lives up to it's name and surpasses other diaper rash creams that we have tried. We have tried store/generic brands and they just don't work as well for us. We only want the best for our kids!

We bought Diaper Rash cream before the baby was even born because we knew we would probably need it at some point. We choose the purple box of Desitin Diaper Rash Ointment because, frankly, it's what my friends all used. Performance Desitin works pretty good. I just squeeze a little out and put it on any red areas. It doesn't bother her at all and if anything provides a little relief. The redness does not seem to just disappear though, so I end up using this almost every day or every other day depending on how red she looks. The container seems like it will last forever since I only need a tiny bit for each application. I put it on anytime she looks red, but mostly at night to protect her while she sleeps all night.

If your baby has a bad diaper rash then desitin diaper rash ointment is the best choice for treating it. I have used it on all four of my children. It goes on thick,stays on and it really works to clear up diaper rash. It is also reasonable priced, compared to other diaper rash creams or ointments. That being said, I would not recomended desitin for daily use or for prevention of diaper rash, because the smell is strong and terrible. Even after my children were diapered and clothed and were sitting on my lap, I could still smell the strong odor of the desitin. I have found that other brands are comparable for daily use or for preventing diaper rash. Desitin, however, is the fastest and best diaper rash cream for treating a bad rash. And, since the smell never bothered my children, but the diaper rash did, it was worthwhile for me to put up with the smell of the desitin since i knew that it would work.

I love the desitin diaper cream. It says that it clears the rash up overnight and it actually does! When my kiddo starts showing the first signs of a rash or redness, we smear some of this on and rarely need to put it on again with the next diaper change. We have never had a serious rash and I credit this to getting rid of it so quick without allowing the rash to get out of hand. Anyone who is looking for a cream that will do what it says it does, Desitin is it. However, if you use cloth diapers, you should note that it will leave a yellow stain on the diapers...you may need to find a different product for your own personal use. Those you use disposable, however, will find that this cream is the best out there, and from a brand we trust, I feel safe putting it on my kid. It is medicine, as many creams are, and I would not recommend using it every diaper change, though it is said to be safe. I would suggest only as needed. One bottle lasts for many uses!

Desitin is a great product to have on hand at all times and is not necessarily only a product for babies, but for anyone with skin that needs soothing.  I have used Desitin Diaper Rash Ointment for both of my children and it works wonders when my children have sore, red bottoms.  Desitin works quickly to sooth a sore bottom and is very effective.  Typically Desitin clears up diaper rash for my children in about a day or  two.  The cream goes on easily and is easy to wipe off.  I have tried other brands of diaper rash ointment and Desitin works much better.  Other brands were more watery and I had to use more of it than I do when using Desitin.  The other brands may have been slightly cheaper, but if they did not perform as well then there was no point in switching.  Stick with what works.  Desitin is a nice, soothing layer to protect the skin while it has time to heal.  I am not a big fan of the smell of Desitin, but since it does its job the smell is not a huge drawback.  Desitin Diaper Rash Ointment is a product I definitely recommend.

**Desitin **is a great product to have for taking care of skin issues for babies, as well as children and adults. As a mom of five children,  I have changed a **LOT **of diapers.  I have also dealt with the varying skin sensitivites of my children.  Believe me people, I am no stranger to diaper rash!  When my kids were in diapers, I always made sure I had plenty of A&D ointment (another great product) and **Desitin**.  **Desitin **has the highest concentrate of zinc oxide available in a cream without a prescription.  It is creamy and soothing and stays where you put it.  While it can cause a bit of stinging at first on more severe cases of diaper rash, it really creates a barrier of healing on the affected areas.  It also works as and anti-inflammatory cream.  I haven't met a case of diaper rash that could withstand the healing properties of **Desitin**.  Some might complain that is hard to wash off; but, that is part of why it works so well as a barrier between the rash and wetness, allowing skin to heal. I know it sounds silly that a diaper rash cream would be good for adults; but, it is true!  It helps relieve chapped and chafed skin.  It works well on cuts, scrapes and rashes (including heat rash) on skin of all ages.  :)  **Desitin Cream** is a product I highly recommend.
