Most HelpfulThe reason why Desitin Creamy is not the best choice for a serious rash is stated clearly on the front of the tube: Goes On Smoothly & Wipes Off Easily. The point of diaper rash cream is to cover the irritated area and protect it from wetness. If the cream wipes off easily, it's going to rub right off...

It's also easy to wipe off at the next diaper change, so that the bottom will be properly clean, and then you can reapply more Desitin Creamy.
It heals my baby's bottom faster than any other I have ever tried. And another reason it's different from other brands, it doesn't smell near as bad! BIG PLUS+++
I will always buy Desitin Creamy. If it wasn't available at the store I was at ?...

This form of Desitin is the BEST. I could never go back to anything pasty.. this formula glides on like a dream so you don't pull on tender skin when applying.

In addition, you only need a small amount to place on the affected area. I have tried several other brands such as Burts Bees and drug store brands yet desitin remains my favorite!
Tip: If you apply desitin right before bed time, you can assume that your child will be generally healed by the morning.
I have tried many diaper rash creams and ointments. I would not go with the Desitin Creamy. I would stick with the original Desitin. The cream tended to make more of a mess than it actually helped. It stuck to the inside of the diaper better than it did to the baby's skin, therefore not doing it's job properly. It didn't protect their skin from further breakout. I
I love this diaper rash cream. It really does the job well and quickly. My eldest has very sensitive skin and this cream worked wonders on her rashes, we would even use it when she didn't have a rash just to prevent one. I do have to agree that it seems to sting a little when there is a bad rash, but if you blow on the area it quickly stops stinging, and the cream works so great that it usually only took 2 days for my daughters bad rashes to clear up! My youngest doesn't have sensitive skin or (thankfully) get many diaper rashes, but we still keep some on hand just in case. For really...
