Desitin Diaper Rash Cream Review Summary

Destin Diaper Rash Cream is an easy to apply, effective diaper rash cream that helps diaper rashes heal fast. With Desitin, a little goes a long way, and tubes are long lasting. Although slightly more expensive than some other brands, frequent coupons help keep parents costs down. One parent found it effective overnight, “My son hasn't got many diaper rashes. But when he did, I would put this on him over night and the next morning, the rash would be gone.” Warning to parents, be careful where you wipe, as Destin can be oily and stain regular clothing. Babies and toddlers with sensitive were happy after parents used this diaper rash cream to prevent and protect from diaper rashes, as it was gentle to their skin. One parent even found out that Desitin is the “it was the safest diaper rash cream on the market as far as eating it goes,” after her little one decided it smelled and tasted good. One note of caution, most parents agree, that if the diaper rash has sores then try something else as Desitin can be painful and difficult to remove on a already tender tush. When my son was born my youngest daughter was just shy of turning two. She managed to get into the diaperbag and ate half a tube of this stuff. I called poison control instantly as soon as I found out. They told me it was the safest diaper rash cream on the market as far as eating it gos. They told me... read full review »

The reason why Desitin Creamy is not the best choice for a serious rash is stated clearly on the front of the tube: Goes On Smoothly & Wipes Off Easily. The point of diaper rash cream is to cover the irritated area and protect it from wetness. If the cream wipes off easily, it's going to rub right off...

I, myself, am a Desitin fan. I prefer it over the "creamy" types, because I found that the creamy types wiped off too easily, therefore having to apply it much more often. I received a free jar from the company, and it lasted me over a year! It works wonders and doesn't irritate baby's skin. It doesn't have the most pleasant smell, but it is medicine, right? I prefer reliability over a sweet scent! You won't be disappointed with this product!

This product is my favorite on the market. It spread easily so that you are not putting too much pressure on the rash area. But it's not so thin that it doesn't stick around for a while. And a little goes a long way!

It's also easy to wipe off at the next diaper change, so that the bottom will be properly clean, and then you can reapply more Desitin Creamy.

It heals my baby's bottom faster than any other I have ever tried. And another reason it's different from other brands, it doesn't smell near as bad! BIG PLUS+++

I will always buy Desitin Creamy. If it wasn't available at the store I was at ?...

My son has a VERY sensitive bottom.. If he sits in a dirty daiper for any length of time he automatically reddens up.  He has been prone to some pretty nasty rashes and just an overnight with his bum slathered in this DESITIN CREAMY does the trick.. EVERY TIME.

This form of Desitin is the BEST.  I could never go back to anything pasty.. this formula glides on like a dream so you don't pull on tender skin when applying.

Ok, what's the downfall???  It does seem to burn a tiny bit when applied.  My son fusses and will cry out when I apply it when his rash is really bad... BUT.. it's a temporary...

I have tried many diaper creams and desitin is I think one of the worst. It is not the worst because it doesn't work at all, it's because it works only for very mild cases and it is too pricey for the sub-standard performance. If your baby has a bad case of diaper rash this stuff does pretty much nothing. First, It doesn't stick to the babies bottom so there is not enough contact with the rash. Second, you have to use a ton just to get mild results, and since this stuff is not cheap it is not worth it. If you want a good diaper cream try the Aveeno diaper cream, it is wonderful!

I have used many different kinds of diaper creams and I have to say that I really like desitin. It is very creamy and easy to apply. In addition, you only need a small amount to place on the affected area. I have tried several other brands such as Burts Bees and  drug store brands yet  desitin remains my favorite!

Tip: If you apply desitin right before bed time, you can assume that your child will be generally healed by the morning.

I have tried many diaper rash creams and ointments.  I would not go with the Desitin Creamy.  I would stick with the original Desitin.  The cream tended to make more of a mess than it actually helped.  It stuck to the inside of the diaper better than it did to the baby's skin, therefore not doing it's job properly.  It didn't protect their skin from further breakout.  I

I tried this after trying a different diaper that my little one was alergic to. In just a few days it was looking soooooo much better. I hate it when I think my little one is suffering so a speedy recovery in VERY important! I am sure little ones everywhere agree! I would recommend this to anyone for diaper rashes and my dr recommened it to me!

Okay, I have raised enough kids in my life to let you know what my opinion is of this product.  I have been through 6 children, 5 boys and 1 girl to know when a product works.  I used the baby powder, which I might add goes everywhere including your lungs and babys lungs no matter how careful you are.  Desitin creamy was not around when my children were little darnit anyway.  No matter how good a mother you are when those teeth come in up comes a diaper rash.  One of the best cures for a diaper rash I have found beside the Desitin which I used on all my grandchildren (because guess who watched... read full review »

I love this diaper rash cream.  It really does the job well and quickly.  My eldest has very sensitive skin and this cream worked wonders on her rashes, we would even use it when she didn't have a rash just to prevent one.  I do have to agree that it seems to sting a little when there is a bad rash, but if you blow on the area it quickly stops stinging, and the cream works so great that it usually only took 2 days for my daughters bad rashes to clear up!  My youngest doesn't have sensitive skin or (thankfully) get many diaper rashes, but we still keep some on hand just in case.  For really...
