Okay, I have raised enough kids in my life to let you know what my opinion is of this product. I have been through 6 children, 5 boys and 1 girl to know when a product works. I used the baby powder, which I might add goes everywhere including your lungs and babys lungs no matter how careful you are. Desitin creamy was not around when my children were little darnit anyway. No matter how good a mother you are when those teeth come in up comes a diaper rash. One of the best cures for a diaper rash I have found beside the Desitin which I used on all my grandchildren (because guess who watched them while parents worked) is to let the baby soak in the tub adding warm water to soothe affected area watching baby at all times. Give them some toys to play with and if you have to lol read them something. Take them out of the tub, dry them off, and throw a huge blanket on the floor (you know what for) let them lay, crawl, play, whatever they want to do bare naked. Keep them warm though especially this time of year. When they finally get tired of being naked which rarely happens lol, apply the desitin creamy and let it rest on them before you put on a diaper. The darn paper diapers are not good as far as I am concerned, but everyone looks at you like you are nuts if you have a real diaper on them. When my kids were little we put diapers on and when we ran out of clean ones we used a dish towel until the others ones got dry. I think that with all the diaper companies out there they could make one that doesn't irritate babies. Imagine wearing paper on your bottem all day and night, no wonder they love their baths. Sorry, I do go on. Anyway, I like the way that desitin creamy healed my grandson when he was teething. He had a horrible rash. I ended up holding him while he slept on my shoulder with desitin on his butt lol. My arm was a mess, but he healed right up. I really like this stuff and I would not hesitate to use it again if I get the great grandkids someday, keeping my fingers crossed not to, I am ready for a grown up life lol.
