Desitin Diaper cream will work to get rid of most diaper rashes, but it is very expensive. The Target version of this works exactly the same and costs one-third the price. I find it hard to spread if there is any moisture on the area it is applied to. I also think that it takes a fairly significant amount to properly protect the diaper area. The tube is hard to get the cream out of as it starts to run low. I have had this cure both bad and mild diaper rashes, and it will usually clear up or significantly heal most rashes overnight, if liberally applied at bedtime. Helpful hint: If you have a really bad diaper rash with open sores, put neosporin or bacitracin on the sores covered by diaper rash cream overnight. Works like a charm to heal sores and doesn't hurt the kid!
