This is one of my all time favorite products. Yes, the smell take a bit of getting used to. But it works miracles. Unlike a lot of other lotions that only help moisturize, this does double duty as a moisturizer and acne fighter. Having been through graduate school, my skin goes crazy any time I get stressed, which unfortunately is all the time. With this product, however, my skin has gotten much, much, much, MUCH better. I have become a "natural-a-holic" and have tried to use products that have better ingredients are are better in the long term. My night time facial regime these days is using a terrific scrub from Alba that has Willow Bark extract in it. After using this scrub, I dry my skin and use a cotton ball with a little bit of tea tree oil all over my face and neck. I let that dry before putting on this amazing moisturizer. It is so great, I even use it in the day time. The tea tree oil takes some getting used to but personally, I think it is a refreshing smell. Honestly, I thank this regime for making my skin SO much better. :D

I work in a health food store, and this is my go to product whenever someone tells me they have skin rashes, irritations, and dry skin. I tried some of the sample bottle we keep in store on some of my blemishes that tend to catch me by surprise, as I know tea tree is widely used for skin, even cuts. Always a skeptic, I figured, why not. The next day, it was substantially changed, as if its lifespan were shortened by days. The next day after that, after another application, you could hardly tell I had anything there because all the redness was gone. Now a believer, I have told people to try samples whenever they told me their skin woes. Many have returned to buy the full size bottles after seeing great results, even on months long rashes they could not find cures to. I bought one for my house since my boyfriend is a chef and accidentally cuts or burns himself regularly. He loves it! This said, it is also an effective aftersun remedy. I had not yet heard of anyone developing allergic reactions but from the review in which the reviewer experienced breakouts, it may be sensitivity to the tea tree but Derma E often uses herbal ingredients and some people can have reactions to some types of herbs. I would always read and make sure, especially if you have known allergies like to nightshades, certain fruits and vegetables, or if there is an ingredient you aren't familiar with, do research first! But as I said, it is very rare that anyone I know has experienced any serious reaction with Derma E or this product in particular. Ask for a sample wherever they carry it and see for yourself! Scent Smells a little "menthol" but that is from the tea tree oil's natural scent.

My skin really takes a beating during our long cold winters. My husband has eczema and I have extremely dry skin. He gets large red and blotchy areas all over his body, and I get a rash between my legs, both conditions are caused by cold dry air and generally clear up in the warmer summer months. I knew that tea tree oil was a very healing oil, with antibiotic, antiseptic and antiviral properties, and I found the Derma E Tea Tree & Antiseptic Creme at my local Fred Meyer store in their natural foods department. Derma E states that this cream works on many types of skin conditions, including acne, sunburns, dry skin, and dermatitis. The added vitamin E helps offset the drying effects of the tea tree oil. After water, tea tree oil is the second ingredient. There are many other ingredients that are beneficial to the skin, such as glycerin, allantoin and aloe vera. This stuff works! If I can get my husband to use it regularly it will help clear up his eczema, but he doesn't like the smell of tea tree oil, which can be a bit harsh (it smells like a combination of terpentine and pine). However, the scent does fade and isn't noticeable. The cream works for my dry skin, and I have even told two friends about it who have sore related diabetes on their hands, and the tea tree oil cream worked wonders for them. It is a light cream that absorbs well, but I don't use it on my face due to the smell. I love the high quality ingredients in Derma E products, and this one is a winner! This product caused me a HUGE string of breakouts. It was so bad that I had to return it and then I had to start using harsh acne products to get my skin under control. It caused tiny little whiteheads first all over my forehead and then all over the rest of my face. "Recommend: Use Derma E's Tea Tree & E Creme for any skin problem caused by fungus or bacteria. Best of all, this soothing creme can be used as an everyday moisturizer to protect against future problems." Since the product claims that it's good for fungus and rashes and can be used everyday, I thought it would be ok for me to use. I guess not. I've never had so many small whiteheads all over my face!! I mean I looked like a crunch bar. Apparently my pores were clogged and these whiteheads were hard to get rid of and took me weeks. Also, my skin was always irritated after using it. My skin would be really red and kind of burning. I guess it has a strong amount of tea tree in it or maybe I'm just sensitive to it.
