I have had this mattress for about 7 years now, and I have been very highly pleased.  I guess the only thing you expect out of a mattress is a good night's sleep, and I have had no complaints with that.  Both my wife and I prefer a pretty firm mattress, so this one has been great in that it hasn't softened up over the years like some mattress will tend to do.

I think the pricing from a Denver Mattress is also one of its biggest selling points, it is very reasonably priced and I fully expect it will last for quite a few more years.  Let's just say this, when this mattress finally does need to be replaced, I would have no second thoughts about buying another Denver Mattress again, and if they still have this exact model, I would just pick up another one.  I figure don't mess with something that is working, right?

I have never tried the really expensive mattresses like the Tempur-Pedic, and those, so I can't comment on how it compares to those.

I love my Durango Firm mattress. It provides firm support yet it isn't uncomfortable. Most firm mattresses I tried were too hard, yet the soft were too soft and hurt my back. I have had this mattress for almost 3 years and it still feels as great as it did the day I brought it home. It doesn't have springs so it doesn't poke. It has not shown any wear and tear. There is no sinking in the middle unlike other mattresses I have tried before. The price was good, not great, for the set of the mattress and the box spring. The sales people at Denver Mattress are extremely helpful and kind. They gave excellent customer service and I would highly recommend shopping there. My mattress is queen size, although I think it is a bit smaller than other queen size mattresses. My sheets are a little large for this mattress and they weren't for my old mattress. Be careful and protect the fabric of the mattress to avoid voiding the warranty.

I bought my Denver Mattress (Durango Firm model) when I lived in Denver.  However, don't let the name mislead you because Denver Matress has locations all over the US.  I have had this mattress for two years.  My husband, of course, wanted a firm bed.  I wanted a soft bed I could sink into.  The Durango Firm is the perfect combination of softness and support.  The mattress has a foam section on top and the springs are wrapped in foam.  So, there are no uncomfortable pressure points.  There are also no extra-conforming features such as those found in a memory foam mattress.  Denver Mattresses come with a 15 year limited warranty.  The mattress...

Denver Mattress Durango -- the only mattress I'd ever own!

We purchased our Durango mattress from Denver Mattress company in the spring of 2010.  It is an amazing mattress with amazing quality.  It is quite the investment to purchase mattresses however one nights sleep on this mattress validated that we had made the correct investment.  The sales staff at Denver Mattress Company were excellent in helping us determine the correct mattress for our family.  My husband prefers a firmer sleep while I prefer a little softer feel.  The Durango mattress from Denver Mattress Company was perfect because while the base is firm the top layer is  soft and cushy!  As the salesperson described, you often times need the soft layer toh help you get to sleep...but a big part of staying asleep is staying comfortable and supported.  He hit the nail right on the head with that statement, because that is the key.  We also purchased the special pillows to go with the mattress and we enjoy them too!

This Durango Firm mattress from Denver Mattress has been comfortable.  We bought it in early March.  We have no complaints.  Our backs don't hurt like they did on our old mattress (which was 15 years old).

The "new"/plasticky smell took about a week to go away; I would pull up the mattress pad and sheets every morning to air it out, hoping that would help.  It is taller than our old bed because the mattress is very thick.  You've got to watch the blankets and covers you buy--they are easily too short and won't tuck under the mattress.  Sheets are usually made big enough these days.
