One Of Denise Austin Better Workouts

By

Comments about Denise Austin Hit the Spot 10 five-minute Target Toners:

I will admit that Denise Austin voice can be a bit annoying and this at times prevent me from purchasing many of her workout dvds.

This particular workout dvd is one that I have own for well over three years now. Despite not caring for the sound of Denise Austin voice this is one of my favorite workout dvds made by her. The reason why I like this workout dvd so much is because the workouts featured on this dvd are only 5 minutes long.

There are a total of ten different workout routines that target different body parts. The different body parts this workout target are: abs, thighs, chest, back, arms, shoulders, hips, inner thighs, waist and buns.

Denise Austin cueing is very good in this particular workout dvd which is a plus since in some of her other workout dvds it can be off. When I workout to this dvd I like to complete a total of two or three workout routines. I prefer shorter workout routines over longer workout routines because there are times when I don't have a full hour to commit to working out.

The only workout equipment needed to use this dvd is one pair of hand weights and a workout mat. Denise Austin is accompanied by two other ladies who execute the moves very well and have good form.

Overall this is a really good workout and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in 5 minute workouts.

Great Quickie Segments!

Comments about Denise Austin Hit the Spot 10 five-minute Target Toners:

I used Denise's DVDs for years before switching to another trainer. I enjoyed every DVD, despite the cheesiness, and this was one of my favorites.

I needed something that I could do quickly and easily during my lunchtime that would give me a workout but would not leave me covered in sweat and having to take a shower. This fit the bill perfectly.

Denise gives you a series of different exercises for various target areas and you can quickly get an effective workout.

Since I did these at work (in a small, unused room) during my lunchtime I focused mainly on the upper body exercises and did the lower body and ab exercises when I got home.

I was able to get through the exercises quickly and easily and still feel the burn. Because I did these at work I also did not use weights, but I did get the benefit from just using my body weight and my arms were burning at the end.

If you only have a few minutes this is the perfect DVD. You choose to do one segment or them all and you will definitely benefit.

I definitely recommend this.

Very Versatile DVD. Ten Different 5 Minute Toning Workouts.

Denise Ausitn, 2007

This dvd has 10 different five minute workouts PLUS a 5 minute warmup and a 5 minute cooldown/ stretch. You can mix and match segments to create your own workout and there are a few preset workouts on the dvd as well (Upper body, lower body, and core). For this workout you will need a variety of dumbbells (she uses only one set, which makes no sense), and she also uses a chair in the thigh segment. I use my stability ball to sit on and my Firm Sculpting Stick for the balance work or just use dumbbells and balance w/out the stick.

I like the fact that each body part has its own segment and each segment gets right down to business and there is no wasted time since the warmup and cooldown segments are seperate. The dvd works nicely to add on a little more work for a specific body part to another workout or you can do all the segments and get in a full body 60 min workout. Though I dont think your muscles would be fatigued even after 60 minutes. Its a great unique format and I use it for addons a lot.

The segments include:-warmup-chest-back-arms (triceps & biceps)-shoulders-buns-hips-thighs-inner thighs-abs-waist-stretch

She moves kind of quickly so its hard to go as heavy as I would like but I can still get in some good reps w/ a pretty heavy poundage. This is an intermediate workout and IMO you cant get an advanced workout out of it no matter what you do-there just isnt enough time for each body part to really fatigue the muslces. Denise's cueing isnt the best in this as she changes the pace and forgets to tell you sometimes but its not hard to pick up.
