Dental Floss to you when you are on the go

4

The floss picks don't take up a lot of space so they are great to carry with you and these picks are so much easier to use. And who wouldn't rather use a pick opposed to having to carry around a container filled with string. Dental floss picks are so much neater to use and even easier to dispose of. Best of all, I really love the fresh mint flavor of these picks and I like that I can easily carry the picks in my pocket or handbag. The waxed coating on the dental floss makes the picks glide between the teeth and the floss doesn't catch on the teeth. These picks are a real plus if you have caps or braces on your teeth. I found that using these mint flavored picks refreshes the mouth and fights having bad breath. The bag of an hundred and fifty picks last a long time and they are very inexpensive. Guys that use toothpicks will love these picks that are designed for teeth and won't damage them.

Dentek Triple Clean Floss Picks

I have a lot of crowns and because the margins between them and my gums are not always perfectly aligned, I have areas that need "remedial flossing" as my dental hygienist puts it. So I've tried lots of different types of floss, water pics, and now these floss picks. Overall, my opinion is that they are not that effective. First, the area of floss that is between the two prongs is only about an inch or so, and that's not enough to really reach around your teeth. The floss is strung very tightly, and you cannot adjust the tension; so the combination of a small length of floss with no give can be uncomfortable. These are also much more expensive than a roll of floss, and there is also the fact that these are only good for one use - I had to use 5 of them to floss my entire mouth, because I don't want to use the same piece of floss for all my teeth - it's not hygienic. And if you are concerned about creating excess garbage, there's the issue of all those little plastic picks that are not reusable - you can't put in new floss, I've tried - or even recyclable.

Seems like a good idea!

My dentist got onto me about flossing and sometimes I have trouble using regular floss so I decided to try the DenTek Triple Clean Floss Picks. They did not cost that much so I wasn't to worried. Upon trying them they got stuck in my teeth and I always gouged my gums with them.

Used To Be the Best, Now a Let Down :(

I started using these several years ago, and I was extremely impressed with the quality of the floss - it was THICK (but waxed, so it slid through even tight teeth), and really felt like it was rubbing away plaque; the floss also was strung tautly between the prongs, and STAYED taut even through doing multiple teeth. But recently, I bought a new bag, and the awesome thick floss has been replaced with literally "string thin" thread (and it is loosely strung, and sags when trying to get down into gum pockets) ...the floss even HURTS to use because it is so thin, now. The same problem also effects their different style of picks that are meant for back teeth, which I tried because - another point of review - using this style of floss picks to get your back teeth, you (or at least I do) have to stretch out your cheeks and, I think it has the potential to create major wrinkles. Vain, I know, but while I want to do good things for my gum and cardiovascular health, I'd hate to have long, deep wrinkles down my cheeks! :) (So far, I have tried Dentek's other picks, meant to clean back teeth, called "Complete Clean" which I hope to review properly at a later date). I have even emailed the company and asked them to please bring back the thick floss - or, make a version especially with thick floss, but have not seen a change, or received a response. I hope that the company will change these back, or make a version that does have thick floss, and I would come back to them again. For now, I'm just saddened because I was so happy with the quality of the floss across Dentek's products, and now I have to look for a new product - particularly I am looking for the style that is like a flat letter Y (not like the letter C) anymore, with thick, quality floss, that are meant for cleaning back teeth. Recommendations appreciated! :)

My kids like Dentek Triple Clean Floss Picks but me not so much

I do not like flossing my teeth and have yet to find a product that makes it a bit more tolerable. I'm realistic enough to know that it's never going to be fun (no matter how cool my kids think it is), but if I found a dental floss that can be done quickly and easily, I would probably floss more than I do. I was hoping that the Dentek Triple Clean Floss Picks would be something that my entire family could use (and like). My kids think that they are a novelty and use them often, however, I am not too fond of them. What I like: The floss works well with teeth that are not too tight next to each other. it cleans my teeth and also leaves my mouth feeling minty and fresh. The textured pick works like a toothpick and is good for removing large pieces of food stuck between teeth. What I don't like: The floss gets stuck between my teeth in the back of my mouth, and sometimes it hurts to get the floss to come back out. On some occasions, the floss breaks right in half. Also, I never quite figured out how the Tongue Cleaner section of the pick is supposed to work. It's much easier for me to brush my tongue with my toothbrush and it does a better cleaning job anyways. Personally, I prefer the regular dental floss that comes out of a dispenser. If it happens to get stuck between my back teeth, it's easy to slide the floss through my gum area than to force it back out of my teeth. I would purchase the Dentek Triple Clean Floss Picks again, however it is only because my children like them.

Dentek triple clean floss picks won't make flossing enjoyable

1

I have never been a fan of flossing but when the dentist started telling me that my kids needed to start flossing I figured I had to try yet again to get in the habit of flossing on a daily basis to show my kids that it could be done. I bought the DenTek Triple Clean Floss Picks when they were on sale at a local drugstore. I thought it would make the chore of flossing more enjoyable than the string method. I have to say that I think I have discovered a new kind of torture for flossing. The DenTek triple clean floss picks are cheaply made and break easily. Even though I bought the package on sale I think per flossing it cost me double what the regular would. The floss shreds and comes off the pick easily. The angle of the floss to the handle is also something that makes it very difficult to get between back teeth. I now use the reach access flosser and actually floss everyday.

Dentek floss picks, Way more convenient that Using Regular Floss

4

I do not usually floss.  I hate to floss because it takes too long and I am not a person with a lot of time or patience for that matter.  I can just hear the lecturing now.  Anyways, I like the Dentek Triple Clean Floss Picks because they are convenient enough that I want to use them to floss with when I have time because I know it will make my teeth look better.  Also I have a permanent retainer, which is hard to clean around so it is easier for me to just use the pick end of the floss pick to pick the junk out from between and around my teeth.  Plus they do just down in between my teeth pretty easily with the floss.  Afterwards, I can just throw them away and the next day I can just grab another one to use.  Not only that, but it is a lot cheaper to buy these then it is go buy the kind of stuff I would normally have to buy to clean around and between my permanent retainer.  I just hope my dentist doesn't find out.

DenTek flossers take the chore out of flossing

4

I started buying these flossers about 2 years ago when I realized I really needed to get more serious about my dental health. I had a less than positive dental appointment and wanted to make a change. I bought thaws because I hated sticking my whole hands in my mouth to floss. These really make it easy to get at hard to reach places. Plus, they have tongue scrapers and a toothpick to help clean even further. I would definitely recommend these and have even bought them for my brother and boyfriend to help them floss more. They are a little bit more expensive than the regular floss you can buy, but I think it is worth it if it helps you to floss more often and more effectively. Be honest, how many rolls of floss do you have in your bathroom that you've never used?!

I'll pass on the DenTek flossers next time

2

I found the DenTek Triple Clean Floss Picks on sale really cheap at my local drugstore so I bought a pack to try. I don't think I'll be buying them again in the future. They are a weird size and the plastic end piece juts up against my gums when I try to use them. No matter how I twist or turn them, I have problems. Also, the floss breaks easily from the plastic part, so you "junk" a lot of them without being able to use them. I am surprised because I have tried other Den-Tek items and found them to be good. These just seem to be poorly made or something. They are awkward to use and I find it impossible to get them in between my teeth that are way in the back of my mouth without poking into my gums in the process.

DenTek triple clean floss picks

3

I purchased two 90 count packages of dentek triple clean floss picks for the first time about two months ago when I was shopping and they were on sale buy one get one free so I decided to give them a try. I usually floss with original reach floss. I do like the fact that the dentek triple action helps fight plaque, gingivitis and bad breath. The triple action means that you can floss with the floss part, there is a tongue scrapper and also a textured pick at the end that acts like a toothpick. My favorite thing about the picks is the pick for getting food out of my teeth. The floss that is attached to the pick itseft does not last long. It shreads apart after a few front teeth and when flossing my molars it takes about 1 pick for each tooth. I do like that the picks are very convenient to use if you are out in a resturant, you dont have to bring out the floss string and start flossing after eating. They are very compacted where its not as noticable as normal floss string. I do not like that you are unable to wrap the floss around the tooth to insure that all the plaque is being removed. I have went back to using the original reach string floss and using the dentek triple clean floss picks for when im out.
