The only thing "demonic" about it is the sadistic nature of the people who made this abomination of a movie. Julie Christie's character Susan is trapped in her house with a super-smart AI (artificial intelligence) that decides it needs to have a baby with her. Pretty stupid, right? Oh wait, it gets worse! The AI builds itself this crazy diamond/pyramid thing that it uses to defend itself and impregnate Susan, who allows this to happen because the AI (named Proteus) threatens to "kill a thousand children if that's what it takes to have its own child." Wow, how amazingly stupid is that? So, in 28 days Susan gives birth to a "baby" so that Proteus can live on in human form, because the people who created it are now afraid of it (can we say duh?) and shut it down. I suppose if one was on some hallucinogenic drugs the trippy "special effects" might seem cool, but other than that, it is sheer torture to sit through Demon Seed.
