This product would have been ok had we had a king sized bed or larger. It is very large and bulky. We have a queen sized bed, and in the beginning our son didn't sleep very well unless he was snuggled close to my husband or me. This didn't work for that either, because the baby was still in a crib like setting, just now taking up half of the bed. After a couple of weeks, my son was able to comfortably sleep in his own crib, so this product was a waste of money for us.
It does however make for an easy place for him to sleep when we travel. He has now been to Germany, France, and Ireland, and he slept in this all of the times then. It is convenient for that, but not for what it seems to be intended for.
