Dell inspiron 530 desktop computer —

I just recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 530 computer and I have had nothing but problems since the day I hooked it up!  Just to let you know a few things about the return policy.  I was not able to return the computer on the 8th day that I had received it because the return policy starts from the date the order is placed.  I called Dell and told them the disk drawers would not open, they kept getting stuck.  Then it started making a very loud clicking noise when I would get on the internet.  My screen that I had with my last computer a "Dell" Pentium III  does not work properly and to this day I am still having problems with the screen.  It works fine on my son's computer, just not mine.  I called Dell on the eigth day that I had the computer and explained just some of my problems.  So the support agent went in and completely cleared my computer of all things I had entered.  I also believe he ran a diagnostic test and cleaned up some of the problems.  But as of today August 25, 2009 this computer still gives me problems and to get the disk drawers to open I use a butter knife to lift up on part of the computer to get the drawer to open.  Just remember one thing, question the return or exchange policy before purchasing anything in the future from them.

Your computer should have still been under warranty on the 8th day, so you should have demanded someone come fix it for you. For Dell systems, I always get the upgraded warranty, but I would do that for any laptop or desktop that I purchase. I have only had to use the home care twice...once on my laptop and once on my desk top. For my laptop, I had no trouble until after 2 years, and the keyboard had to be replaced. It was great...a quick call and 2 days later someone came to my home and replaced it for me. For the desk top, it was a bit more work and I was given a really hard time, but after I finally put my foot down, someone showed up in a week's time and replaced my CD/DVD player/burner free of charge. I will mention, though, that I didn't buy the basic system...mine was upgraded to my own specs prior to purchase and delivery.
