PC is OK - but the service leaves a lot to be desired

Dell manufactures good computers. If possible, make your purchase from a dealer rather than on line or by phone.  Once the sales person hangs up or goes off line it is impossible to recontact him/her. In addition be aware of all the "add ons " that will be included even if you do not want them. 

The Inspiron is a little power house when it is up and running.  However, should you require assistence from tech support it can be a bit dicey.  Tech service is off shore so the possibility of reaching someone who is fully fluent in English is a gamble.

A new development in Tech support is more than annoying.  I paid for 3 (three) years of support,  Recently needed to call for tech help, the person who took my call was not able to recognize the problem but assured me that I could get assistance from the PAY for Service Dept.  My Question is What did I pay for when I paid for 3 years support.

I say buyer beware.  If you are a techie go for it, if not make sure you have a techie friend.
