The Dell Dimension 1100 isn't worth the money.

Comments about Dell desktop computer:

The Dell Dimension 1100 is impossible to open. All of the inner pieces are stuck together. The fan does not work as it should, and the computer gets hot quickly. I once tried to remove the case to cool it down, and I could not get the case off. Most computers have a series of screws that allow you to remove the case, but with the Dell, you need to slide it off. After much difficulty, I managed to remove the case. It left scratch marks in the runners. Once inside, I realized why the fan wasn't working- the parts were all stuck closely together! In a good desktop, you should be able to fit your hand into the computer somewhere and not touch anything, but if I had stuck my had in, I would have hit multiple things. The fan didn't work correctly because the air wasn't getting past the things directly in front of it. In addition, the system tends to run slowly. This can be fixed by getting more ram, or not using Windows. In order to fix the fan problem, I would suggest getting a professional to transfer everything into a new, larger case.
