Most HelpfulWe purchase the Dell XPS several years ago for my home business. What a mistake! It was always getting froze up. Could not keep up with me and finally the hard drive went out. We did not even have it a year. Dell wanted to charge us for everything everytime I called them with a problem. I should have...
review »This laptop is a good buy...but a bit pricey. Not overpriced...but the add ons do add up quite quickly. The picture is of good quality and the key board is easy to use. I've never been a fan of lap top mouse pads...but I have a add on mouse that I use instead. I like the fingerprint reader and I have always been a fan of Dell. They are reliable and make good products. Their customer service is about a 3/5--but thats not the review here. I wouls recommend this computer for others--it is a nice model.
My first laptop was a Dell and lasted me 5 years and is still going strong (that's with 3 hard drive replacements along the way, but that's why you purchase the 4 year warranty!)
Although my old laptop works just fine, I needed a change and wanted a more powerful computer instead. After TONS of research looking at other company's laptops, visiting Best Buy to get a "feel" for the XPS, and playing on Dell's website for hours on ends (adding different combos of features), I decided on the Dell XPS 1530. It was a bit pricer over most of the other Dell models, but the "upgrade" from my Inspiron...
review »The Dell XPS M1530 Laptop is a wonderful product because it has pretty much what you need. I have my dell for a few months and so for it's not a bad laptop. It helps me with y work and other important papers. The internet is pretty quick and pretty inpressive. Half the time when I not doing anything like chores or other house stuff. I be on my laptop playing games, going on my myspace, myyearbook, facebook, mocospace, and twitter. The Dell XPS M1530 Laptop has a great battery life. It can last for a very long time, instead of always having to buy a laptop every year. Another thing I like about...
review »My husband bought me this laptop for my college work. To this date, this is the best computer I've ever owned. I've never had any problems with it and I love all the new technology it has to offer. I am not a mac person, so this dell works perfectly for me.
I bought this laptop to replace my other Dell, after it was stolen in a breakin. This is the first XPS model I've owned, though I had also bought one for my son. I have been impressed with it, for the most part, and would probably buy one again. It's not so heavy as to be problematic, and the look is sleek. I've never been able to get the fingerprint ID to work, but that's not a big deal for me, since other members of the family use it from time to time. I use my laptop every day, all day, and have encountered only one problem with it over the seven months I've had it -- the keyboard...
review »I absolutely love the Dell XPS M1530. I'm a loyal Dell person and find the XPS consistent with all the products I've purchased from Dell. I'm an everyday internet user and use Microsoft software a lot. I really like Vista, despite all the negative talk. I was hesitant to try Vista because I heard such bad reviews on the software. After using the program for a month, I was very happy with the functionality and user-friendliness of Vista. I'm not one to download music on my computer and believe in keeping anti-virus software up to date. I've had the computer for about 4 months and would...
review »The Dell XPS M1530 is the newest in the XPS series from Dell. It is extremely fast and light (4 pounds without the battery, 6 pounds with battery). Aside from being extremely fast and efficient, it also has multiple USB ports and is very durable and travel friendly. It does not overheat even when in use all day and with multiple high capacity programs running. It's data storage capability, with 4 GB of 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM is truly impressive and it has a pre-installed 2.0 megapixel webcam. It's large 15.4 inch screen makes reading and writing large documents a cinch. This large screen, however,...
review » got an XPS M1530 two weeks ago and here's my experience with it so far:
Performance: Windows Vista runs just fine on the XPS without any lag so far. Have yet to encounter any problem multitasking. Only downside about it is the heat. Just like any other laptop, this model gets hot rather quickly. But nothing can't be solved with the help of an external cooler.
Design: Personally, I feel that the XPS is one of the best looking laptops in the market. My only complaint is the finishing touch of the battery panel. It's somewhat loose when I got it, (it'd be good if Dell could get it fixed for me) otherwise...
Well I have had my Dell XPS M 1530 for over a year now. I like it except I had to just recently get a new keyboard, and a new cord and charger for it. The charger just broke threw the cord right by the plug that plugs into the computer, then of course the charger itself started to burn out and made a yukky smell. Of course I still had a warranty on it so it didn't cost anything to replace thank goodness. Other than that I like my Dell XPS. It has Windows Vista and Word 2007. It does have a 'fingerprint' mode on it that I do not use or like. I could not even get my print to take correctly, so it...
