A few flaws, but overall, a mighty fine lightweight laptop

For the last 5+ years I have insisted on using IBM Thinkpads. I had a T60 and T40 (the tablet one) and found them to be extremely well made and very reliable and durable for lots of travel. However they are priced a bit high and now that they are owned by Lenovo, my loyalty to them has waned. — I recently attempted to upgrade the Lenovo T60 that I have I used continuously for the last 20 months to Vista and put some more memory in it. I have owned over 6 Dell laptops over the last 12 years. Throw in a Sony Vaio, IBM ThinkPad and an HP Pavilion, and I still think one could call me a Dell loyalist. For the last five years I owned a Dell Latitude D400. In spite of the some of its speed/power issues, it was great for its size, weight, style and build quality. — So when it came time to retire the Latitude, I looked at the Dell XPS 1330. Great Laptop for your money the Dell XPS M1330

I love this laptop! The picture quality is wonderful. Sound is good for watching movies or playing music. I am not computer savy, but this computer was very easy to install programs on and set up. I got the red one and am very happy with my purchase. The standard windows is the new Vista which I am not too crazy about but slowly learning. The battery power lasts about five hours which is good, and having the wifi already installed is great for taking it anywhere to pick up a signal so I can get work… read full review »
