Dell XPS M1210 Laptop Review

This review is for the Dell XPS M1210 laptop computer.  I purchased from the Dell Outlet for around $1400.  I don't believe this model is being produced anymore.  It has a 12 inch wide screen display, which is smaller than the 13.3 which I believe is on the model that replaced this one.  I specifically wanted a small laptop that I could take around with me easily.  Now that Netbooks are becoming so prevalent, I would probably have gone that route.  But, this does offer the DVD burner built in.  So, in a very small, portable size, you basically still have a full, working computer.  I like the four USB ports, but having them on each side, instead of having some on the back, is sometimes inconvenient.  Since the battery is at the back, there is no room for any ports (except the power cable), meaning you'll likely have wires visible coming off one of the sides.  I also like having the audio controls on the front, where they are much more accessible if you're watching a DVD (when you're not necessarily already using the keyboard).  At this point, I wouldn't have a problem recommending this, although, you better find a really good deal, because there are numerous better machines being made now.
