I have definitely seen better from Dell and this one is an example of mediocicty. The Vostro 1015 does not deserve to be bought in my honest brutal opinion!!! I would rather go out there and build my own system. I ran into so MANY problems with this computer. There were display problems, RAM voltage problems, then there were the hard drive failures and even the optical drive got stuck and jammed a few times in which it ate my music cds!! I have never encountered so many problems with a computer and the Vostro frustruated me beyond everything. Thankfully Dell customer service was phenomenal and stuck with me through it all and made sure my problems were fully resolved. I would advise those who are considering buying this one to get out there more and explore other options. I might've received a lemon...but I might've not as well so you never know. Probably the best thing to do is to not take the risk and just avoid this one completely.

To me, this is the best god dang computer ever!  It's awesome portibility and lightweight.  The only god-dang thing it needs is longer battery.   Its really short for me, 5 hours, and needs more hour time.

I own a dell laptop and they are great for the first couple of months. After that the charger won't work anymore because of a problem with the laptops motherboard. It's a very affordable laptop but stay away if you can.

I have had this same laptop for going on 2 years. it has exceeded all my hopes in having a quick easy way of connecting online. I dont think I could have found a more convenient or affordable laptop in its catagory.

I love this laptop! Went shopping for a good laptop for work that had a lot of gb's & that wouldn't freeze on me like my Apple one did. Got a great deal than the the other ones that I was looking at. Moves thru the screens fast, no freezing and the keys are easy to type with. I love this laptop!!

Dell has a good line of business machines, Dell Vostro 1015 Notebook PC is one of them. I have used the Vostro 1000, 1015, 1400, and 1500. I own the 1000 and 1500. Like I said in my older posts, I approve of Dell computers and their Desktops and Laptops are good enough for anyone to use. If you are a gamer, then this might not be the best computer to buy, but you can still play a few older games on it like Warcraft III. Starcraft II actually can run on low graphics settings for this computer, because I have done it for my Vostro 1500 and I was able to do some damage to my opponents haha. It has a decent look to it, and it can do word processing and other business projects. This product is ideal for students needing a laptop for school, or people who need a laptop for work, this computer is also suitable for that. Overall, whatever your needs are, I believe this computer can ultimately do the job; just do not go nuts if your craziest game does not run well on it, because I already stated if you want to game, do not buy this computer.

i love my dell laptop it is so amazing.i love the fact that i dont have to be sitting at a desk all day in a very uncomfortable chair.i can relax in bed and be very comfortable.i have a 4 month old who needs lots of attention annd when i used to use my desktop i would have to hold him and and try to use the desktop but it was very hard.well with the dell laptop i can sit with him and bed and he can play right next to me he even falls asleep right next to me and it is so much easier to watch over him.i can also lay him down next to him and be on my laptop and play with him.it is very light weigth and very easy to use.it is very fast and smooth.my eight year old son enjoyd sitting next to me and watching me use it when i used the desktop he wasnt allowed in the computer room.but now he sits on the bed and talks to me.the keys are very quiet on the keyboard and i love how quiet the laptop is also.i bought a fan for the bottom so it doesnt get hot.

I received my Dell Vostro 1015 as a gift a few months ago and it is one of the best gifts I have ever gotten! It came equipped with Windows 7 Home Basic (amazing software), Roxio (music, movies & more), pre-installed games (solitaire, chess, mahjong, etc), and so many more great features. I never have a problem with the wireless connection because it always connects instantly. It has a bluetooth connectivity feature that I absolutly love because you can use it to connect wireless keyboards, mice, headsets and you can also transfer ringtones from your computer to your phone (if model is compatible). I never have problems connecting to websites, checking or sending e-mails, instant messaging or anything. It also has a 5-in-1 media card reader that allows you to transfer music, pictures, videos, presentations or any other data to and from your laptop using a flash card for easier data transfers. I also just love the way I can switch between web pages with just a click of my mouse!  Every since I have received this laptop, browsing and gaming on the web have become much easier for me!

I got a Dell Vostro 1015 through my work to replace my Dell Latitude 620 that I had used for about 4 years. I use it every day for spreadsheets, document creation, online research, wired and wireless networking, goofing off, occasional piracy, and multimedia management. I run Win XP and Ubuntu on it. It's got a slim and fairly lightweight design so toting it around in my backpack is no problem. The keys and mousepad are pretty responsive. All the ports and access points being on the side has taken some time to get used to - I liked having the power cord and cat5 go in the back of my Latitude because it made my desk feel cleaner when i couldnt see the cables. having a side mounted power plug can have its advantages though, like when i charge it while it's still in my backpack instead of having to pull it out and expose it to my children, who are more than capable of killing it. Also, the headphone jack is actually in the front, and that seems a little intrusive, too. But overall I'm happy with the performance.

When I was searching for a new laptop computer I checked out and compared many brands and models of laptops. I am a rookie so I did not know a whole lot of what to look for so I had my son-in-law help me. He is a computer pro who works at home doing computer work. He also taught many dfferent college computer classes. We searched the internet and narrowed down our choices. I setteled on a Dell Vostro which was a mid priced laptop. I really like the fact that it has touch pads for left and right clicking. It has a 15.6 " screen. It weighs about 6 lbs.   It is equipped with the Windows 7 update. It has an Intel processor.  It is Energy Star energy efficient. You have a great team of people for support at the Dell Company  in the unlikely event you have a problem. The keys are a nice size to use. I also love that it has 2 USB ports on each side. I would recommend this laptop to everyone, especially a rookie like me.
