Bottom-Line: Hands down, the Dell Latitude E6500 is a performance winner.
Now that Windows 7 is finally on the street, it is time for another technology refresh in my company; this time the entire department traded up to the Dell Latitude E6500 Notebook computer. Dell constructed the business-class notebook of a magnesium alloy, rugged paint finish and tough metal hinges, which makes the Latitude E6500 more durable than older Dell portable offerings.

read full review »I bought a Dell Latitude E6500 laptop about 9 months ago. It is a really great laptop. It has a 15.4 inch screen. The laptop may be a little heavy to carry around, but it fits my needs as a web site developer. I also love that virtual machines run great on it for my studies.
The processor is Intel Centrino 2. It has an eSATA port that has a faster transfer rate than USB. My hard drive is 250GB. I currently have Windows XP installed, but if I ever wanted to, I could install Windows Vista on it.
The power cord has a special feature where there is a blue light near the end adapter part that plugs...
