I do quite a bit online and have to deal with dial up internet - I am impressed on how well it does. I have not had one problem with this laptop. It is just the right size and weight for me. Occassionally,...

Most HelpfulThe Dell latitude d520 laptop is not a bad computer. It has good screen resolution, a sensative touch pad, plenty of usb ports, and a good keyboard.
HOWEVER, there are a few draw backs:
1. The battery life is awful even on the lowest possible power settings and a dim sceen setting (mine lasted about...

the battery can support my work at least 2 hours work even under the wireless access be enabled.
it not so heavy to carry, but of course, it is not so lightly for carry. if I will buy a new loptop in the future, I perfer find one which much lighter than this dell loptop. and even the screen is not as big as this one. from my point of view,...

read full review »I have one of these computers and it worked fine (for about two days) until it loss it power and then i couldnt even log back into it asked for a password that i wasnt even famliar with. It had a white screen and asked for a admin password. I took it to "the geek squad" they told me i had to pay around $250 for a new upgrade system or something like that. I am not a technical person with computers but i can navigate. I would knew buy a computer off the internet again, lesson learned.
The Dell Latitude D520 laptop is very useful. It works very well and doesn't give me any problems. It's virtually easy to use. The bluetooth works great. It makes it easy to tranfer something to my cell phone or visa versa. The built in wireless is also useful so you can take it where ever you go. You don't have to worry about trying to find a jack to pug into.
