The Dell Inspiron 1410 is my second Dell, my first Dell still works but I needed a computer that was faster and had more memory.  I have had the Dell for 3 years and I have had only one complaint and that was with Windows Vista, the computer itself has been wonderful and with an extended battery it was perfect for Graduate School.  This Dell is perfect for a young user if they are focusing on doing school work at any grade level and with the Microsoft Office Student Teacher edition you can get your moneys worth
