Unlike most people my age I am not what you would call a computer tech. Even though I have owned countless of computers desktops and labtops. I have waited for years to get a laptop.  I did some research but not tons.  I have a desktop from Dell that is 5 years old and had a good experience with Dell for that computer, so I thought I would give Dell another chance.  The Inspiron has everything I need and then some.  I didn't really need a computer with lots of bells and whistles, I'm not a gamer or intense PC user.  I primarily use my laptop for email/facebook and uploading pics for ebay type transactions, managing my bills and banking from home and listening to music.

I have bought Dell computers for several years now.  I started years ago on the old KayPro and moved to Gateway.  When Gateway computers started their decline a few years ago, we moved to Dell.  Overall the Dell experience has been good.  Our desktop is a workhorse, and I am on my fourth Dell laptop (soon to be fifth).  We started off with a small laptop (the latitude), and it worked well for awhile.  Since I do my work primarily on the laptop instead of the desktop, I wnated to have a much bigger screen.  So I moved to the wide-screen inspiron.  It was great, although it was heavy to lug...

This laptop is not for everyone but it is very convenient for somone who probably has a desktop for maybe work and/or  school. The Dell Mini is perfect for me because I just use it for email, uploading pictures and letting my kids surf the web! I don't do any work related projects on it because with it being so small you will need to scroll down constantly which can be annoying! But my kids don't seem to mind that.  I have had the Dell Inspiron 1501 for about three years now and have overall not had any problems with it. I have taken it in to Best Buy a few times, but that had to do with viruses which I don't think has to actually do with the computer itself. I have a very large itunes library and a lot of pictures and was recently forced to delete a lot of things (and put them on cds for later use) but I can't honestly say how much memory this thing has (I'm using it right now to type this review). This is a great laptop.  I love the 17" even though it is a little big and heavy if you had to carry it around much.  I use it primarily as a desk top even though I do own a desktop, too.  It is great to have the ability to have a keypad available on the laptop.   Even though I do have a portable keypad that I can use, the ease of having it right there is greatly appreciated and comes in very handy on everything from figuring bills to finding the number of calories per ingrediest and determining the total in a recipe.  Although I don't use it much, my machine has a webcam which was handy when...

I have a dell inspiron laptop computer and it is one of the bext laptops i have had. under six pounds with its widescreen 15.6 in LCD monitor, 2 gig duel core processor and 4 gigs of ram it gets the job done. and now with windows 7 it makes it even better. I purchased my Dell Inspiron laptop as a replacement for my aging desktop computer. The Dell Inspiron has surpassed all of my expectations, as well as those of my family.

I use the Dell for my regular correspondence and research for my household chores. I love to look up recipes using ingredients that I have on hand.

My daughter uses the Dell Inspiron for cataloging her music so that it can be transferred to her MP3 player and cell phone. She's also used it for watching movies in her room. The picture and sound quality rival our television.

Recently I went ooking for a computer. I shopped for a while before I just bought one. First I looked at a hp and decieded that they wanted way too much for those. then i tried a gateway and it was the same thing. i then began looking at the dells. The Dell Inspiron is a great computer for a reasonable price, it gets the job done for a great value. There is nothing that I want to do with it that I can't. I can download a ton of photos, scrapbook digitally, everything I want to do without any hassle. When I purchased this laptop I was told that it would only take a certain amount of time to receive it. It took so long that we considered canceling the order and buying else-wear. I was gearing up for school when we bought it and I needed it soon. After I finally got it I used it frequently for work and school. I have had this computer for almost two years now. Off and on it will be slow, taking a long time to open programs or the internet. I find that usually happens with PC's.
